Cancer and liver disease were both ruled out. Last I heard, Lupus and AIDS were about the last of the 'usual suspects' for Arafat.Could be the same worms got Arafat that got old King Herrod(translated The Clapp)or those two lovely twins Psyphilis and Gonorrah.

The good thing is that he's dead. Exactly. Besides, I think too many here are willing to jump on the Arafat-AIDS connection, to me it smells like the Danny Williams story (remember Bill Clinton's half-black 'love child'?) Can anyone here name somebody rich and famous who has died of AIDS in the last dozen years? Surely, Arafat had enough money to buy the most expensive treatments in the world.

I'd like to believe it was AIDS because to Arabs that's got to be the most degrading way to go but looking at his photos from the last couple of years I think Arafat has been sick for a long time. He started dropping weight over a year ago.
