Salon: Election fraud hysteria (even Salon is debunking DUmmy conspiracy theories!)

Election fraud hysteria I'm not on Karl Rove's payroll -- and there's still no evidence that George W. Bush stole Election 2004.

Nov. 12, 2004 | Salon received dozens of letters in response to my article debunking the idea that Republicans stole the election, and many readers were interested in only one thing: How much did Karl Rove pay me to print such garbage? According to these people, I clearly hadn't examined the overwhelming evidence that Bush won through dirty tricks. From the exit polls pointing to a Kerry win, to the tales of voting machines switching selections for Kerry into votes for Bush, to the odd results in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and those weird stats in Florida's rural counties -- there's just so much evidence that something fishy went on last Tuesday, these people said, that the only way I could argue that everything was OK was if I was being paid by Turd blossom himself.

-snip-

But if passion is important, so is reason and logic. And unfortunately many of the folks responding to my piece seemed more passionate than reasonable, refusing to believe the most sensible explanations for suspicious occurrences.

It's official. There was no fraud. When you have ABC, Boston Globe, WaPo, NY Times, Slate, Salon, and even Democrats saying there was none, you really get an idea of how crazy the DUmmies are.

Democrats put out the kill order on the story, worried about what might be found?

Uh huh. They know that any in-depth looks at the election will send many of them and their operatives to jail.

No, there was fraud... it was just coming from the DemoRats. That's why they're trying to stop an in-depth examination of the election.

The Democrats are deep in the fever swamps. A week after the election, they're still in denial. Right now the moonbats over at DU are desperately searching for even the slimmest glimmer a miraculous victory may yet be in the offing. No amount of reasoned explanations can reach minds convinced Karl Rove bought up every one but the true believers.

Methinks you got that righter than rain.

I suspicion they've been given a heads up to cool the waters or we'll look into some REAL fraud - and they know we could prove it...

Bet ole Rendell in PA and Richardson in NM don't want any close looking

When they aren't floating conspiracy theories that Kerry really won, they are busy attacking Kerry for running a horrible campaign and complain that Kerry wasn't liberal enough. There was one thread where these delusional fools even said that Dennis Kucinich would have done better than Kerry.

When the San Francisco Chronicle puts out an article debunking the voter fraud myth, you know the fix is in.

There is no question...absolutely none...that a vigorous investigation of voter activity would have exposed massive Democrat fraud.

Just what I think. They don't want anyone checking into fraud. Without the dead vote, illegal aliens, and multiple voting Kerry would have been slaughtered even worse.

I bet that somebody said that if the Democrats make a big deal of Ohio, then the Republicans will demand a recount in Pennsylvania, where the margin was even slimmer.

Neither state can withstand closer scrutiny.
