[The floury dust in the air and a skyline of broken minarets and smashed buildings combined for the only genuine postcard image this country has to offer for now. ]

When you only posses an anus, the entire world looks like a commode.

But the insurgents had gotten off an RPG round and disabled one tank; the other tank mysteriously stopped working as well
Where facts don't work insinuation might?

"The flags are the insurgents' answer to two-way radios, their way of massing the troops and - in a tactic that goes back at least as far as Napoleon - concentrating fire on an enemy. Set against radio waves, the flags have one distinct advantage: they are terrifying. ... And at night, they are setting up deadly ambushes in the moonless pitch blackness of Falluja's labyrinthine streets."

Tell me again how the mujahedeen see the black flags in the moonless pitch blackness of Fallujah's night...

Regardless of what YOU like, your title is inaccurate and misleading. Rules are meant to be followed, not for jockeys like you to disregard at their pleasure. Clear enough?

I hope Dexter gets one between the eyes.

If those Marines ever catch wind of this article, he just might.

I get so tired of the bleeding negative reporting.

Here is the latest e-mail from my friend in Iraq. She's in a position to know and sends us daily, "Good news" reports. I'm thinking of starting a thread of all her stuff (she said I could.).

I could probably have left the Generals names in but will ask before I do that.

Hello to all. I’m a little late but good news none the less!

The Muslim world is generally quiet on Al Fajr.

Romania agrees to send 100 troops to support UN mission in Iraq.

The Japanese government and the ruling coalition agreed to extend the reconstruction mission by its troops in Iraq for another year.

Denmark’s Defense Minister said Wednesday that Denmark will keep its troops in Iraq as long as Iraq’s government wants them and Danish lawmakers approve.

Although we are doing very well in Fallujah I will correct a media report saying we have secured over 70% of Fallujah. We are not, as of early this morning. However, the government flag is flying over the government center!

Iraqi Security Forces continue to be highly successful in securing the city. Iraqi Security Force recaptured key infrastructure landmarks, returning them to their rightful owners – the citizens of Fallujah.

Foreign fighters continue to use mosques, schools, hospitals and other protected sites to stage their attacks, all in violation of international law, and religious and moral standards. U.S. aircraft did bomb a mosque in Fallujah yesterday after coming under fire from insurgents inside. Every mosque that we have entered we have found a cache of weapons.

Coalition forces use precision air and ground assets against the Anti-Iraqi Force to minimize collateral damage.

The 24-hour curfew is minimizing loss of innocent lives and effectively restoring rule of law.

Iraqi Interim Government’s humanitarian assistance efforts continue, providing medical care, food and water.

Reconstruction efforts will help rebuild the city, create jobs and improve lives of the Iraqi people. The efforts are already underway in Fallujah! The reconstruction teams are right behind our troops as we move through. In Thawra, more than 14,500 workers are now employed repairing sewers, water lines, and the electrical distribution network. Peace and stability will also bring jobs and prosperity to Fallujah.

A press conference was held with the Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) commander, LtGen S****** and the Iraqi’s Security Force Maj Gen M****. The generals said their forces are fighting “shoulder to shoulder” in Fallujah. General S****** said the assault is progressing well with Iraqi armed forces leading the way in many areas. General M***** told reporters his forces weren’t out for revenge, but wanted to get rid of the insurgents, the evil, the murder they bring.

On Friday a report will be released showing a rise in employment due to restoration projects (destroyed from the former regime).

There are currently 20 medical clinics that are under construction (15) Baghdad, (3) Najaf, (2) Basrah.

The Najaf Teaching Hospital is projected to open in 4 weeks.

A team has been assembled to build the organizational frame work for the Iraqi Academy of Health Science and begin curriculum development. Continuing Medical Education will begin immediately utilizing Coalition Medical professionals as instructors and will transition into the Iraqi Academy Health Science curriculum as Iraqi Health Professionals take over training responsibilities.

Areas of Propaganda:

Fadil al-Badrani, the Reuters stringer who was the writer of a misreport yesterday, was interviewed on Al-Jazeera Wednesday and reported that scores of civilians have died and for those struggling to stay alive in the city, life is grim.

Iraqi rebels released a video showing 20 Iraqi National Guards (ING) (wearing ING uniforms) captured. There are no ING forces in Fallujah. There are special forces and regular army forces in Fallujah.

Areas of Misreporting:

Yesterday, Al-Jazeera reported that the US had destroyed 90% of the homes in Fallujah and 50% of its mosques. We contacted them to correct the record and clarify that mosques are not targeted unless used illegally for military purposes. This preceded the press release regarding a mosque being struck in Fallujah twice yesterday.

In the same Al-Jazeera story was a report of crews of 2 US tanks deserted their vehicle in Julan area, leaving them to be seized by fighters. We are working to correct.

God bless and love to all,

Ha!

All they can report is the FUBAR stuff.

Their is always FUBAR stuff in any military engagement.

That's why we have adaptable Americans doing the job and not the French who cannot even build a aircraft carrier with the right sized flight deck and engines.

I live for FUBAR!

FUBAR is what makes it all come together. :-)

Something less armored I can maybe understand but a tank?

A good working knowledge of their subject and accuracy aren't necessarily the MSM's strong suits.

But the media have been known to confuse Bradleys and LAVs with tanks...
