Forgive this vanity, but I am looking for that photo of the marine with the Marlboro hanging out of his mouth.
I've seen it in various posts here a few times, but forgot to save a copy.
Thanks ...
You may NOT KNOW a single soldier in your life. I live with them, I work with them, I play volleyball with them, I go to church with them, I will go to their house for Thanksgiving dinner.
This remark is personal with me.
It has NOTHING to do with political correctnes.
And your ignorance is showing when you say they are 'STONE COLD'...they are scared like the rest of us....maybe you read about them here on the internet. I sit in their living room and watch them tell the real life accounts. You live in some kind of "Rambo" fantasy land if you think they are 'stone cold'.
You are very emotional.
You are projecting, and assuming an awful lot.
I have no desire to point score with you...but your reaction would make it horrendously easy.
At the end of the day we are all on the SAME side.
I will try to calm down now and go to bed.
I want to believe that you meant no harm by your statement, but it offended me. So we can agree to disagree and leave it at that.
I much rather spend my energy arguing with a liberal than somebody from my own camp. So, let's make peace.
Thanks for that TIME cover. I'm thinking of a photo, but it's great to see one of Mauldin's drawings again.
I just want to know who he is.
He is famous and don't know it!
His eyes has the look of someone who has seen the worst of humanity.
Will this Marine get a Purple Heart? The cut on his nose seems to be worse than the wounds of John Kerry.
Every day I see more evidence that the world has gone completely nuts.

I see DRAMA and the cigarrete just adds to it. It's a fantastic photograph with a story behind it!
A picture tells a 1,000,000 (million) words.
This photo deserves a Pulitzer Prize.
