I'm hoping the lowcarb industry strengthens if you ask me. I'm hypoglycemic, so I need to eat high-protein, low carb foods. I'm starting to see more and more products as of late, which is great.
Actually, if they are only reporting a rise in boxed cereals (as opposed to across the board breads and grains) then it's more an indicator of an economy on the rise.
Every mom knows - when the money slows, the box cereal GOES. It's way too expensive to pay four dollars for a small box of cereal, when you can pay two dollars for a big bag...
The article is part fact, part wishful thinking.
I lost 30 pounds from a low-carb diet and my health has improved. I used the weight drop to help me get back in to more physical fitness, brought my carbs up some and I will never go back to my previous lifestyle. If you do go on a low carb diet, just don't be too foolish when it comes to fat and egg consumption, which I have seen some people do.
Yeah, I have noticed that my shirts that my wife irons for me have been a little stiffer. Musta been the extra starch!
Good! I'm so sick of hearing low-carb this and low-carb that.
A serving of Cheerios really isn't that many calories.
Often I wonder if low-carbers miss the point. It's not carbs that are evil, it's calories! ...And I say that from experience. :-)
I love low-carb, especially The Low Carb Bartender. Lose weight with a drink in your hand and a smile on your face.
My kinda diet!

I don't think the low carb thing is going to go away soon. Whatever you think of it for weight loss, it is undeniably the fastest, easiest way to improve your blood lipid levels and to stabilize blood sugar problems, at least for a lot of people.
With all the Type II diabetics around I'll bet it just goes from fad to lifestyle.
I guess the Adkins crew finally got hungry, huh?
I stayed at a Hampton Inns last night for the first time in about four months... When I went to get my complimentary Continental Breakfast... no whole milk.. 2% and skim only.. no doughnuts or sweets.. bagels (Yuk).. non-sugared cereals.. WTF?? So, I asked. "That's the new menu" the sweet lady replied. Where's the Krispy Kreme, I thought... Why do they think their role is to be the evil mother? I'm almost 50 and not overweight by any stretch. I want my whole milk and doughnuts.
I'm still waiting for the consumer fraud folks to come down on the food makers who list ingredients like "dehydrated cane juice" to avoid saying "sugar."
The only thing better than meat and potatos, is meat and meat.
Pass the starch. The holidays are here. I am ready to put back on the weight that I worked so hard to lose this year on Atkins.
People don't want to pay $5 for box of low carb muffin mix!
Quick! Buy shares of Krispy Kreme!
