Right-wing conservatives are demanding that Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) be prevented from chairing the Senate Judiciary Committee because of published comments regarding likely anti-choice Supreme Court nominees. Specter remarked in a press conference on Wednesday that nominees who would attempt to overturn Roe v. Wade would be too conservative to be confirmed.
Speak out today to protect our courts from extremist judicial nominees and the demands of anti-choice hardliners.
Tell me more
The message below will be sent on your behalf
Subject: Thank you Senator Specter
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
Thank you for your leadership on the Senate Judiciary Committee. I appreciate your respect for a constitutional right to privacy. Do not give in to extremist demands that your moderate voice be silenced. Stay strong. Now, more than ever, your courage and the leadership of other moderate Republicans is needed.
Sincerely, [Your name] [Your address]
Help is on the way!!!
"We spent millions to defeat the President and now we expect him top listen to us. Fight for Arlen!"
For the same reason CBS, et al., is starting to. We're gradually finding ways to make our voices heard, and eventually we'll achieve critical mass, and start turning the party from its current leftward direction that people with your mindset have historically allowed it to go.
With statements like that you are making your message heard, "ignore me".
You're absolutely wrong. Last Tuesday should have convinced you of that. Either that or the 95% of FReepers who voted contrary to you in the recent poll.
LOL! Hardly, last Tuesday 60,000,000 people voted for President Bush for many, many reasons. His base is very wide and is far from single issue...any issue. As for Freeper votes, I have no doubt that many Freepers didn't vote the way I did...they voted for some third party loser.
