God bless all our brave veterans for their service, and kudos to our men and women on active duty, at home and abroad!

If I was at work, I'd be wearing a red poppy. (I'm now retired.)

That's the one! Apparently we served together, although, with 1100 people, I probably never saw you.
I was in T4, weapons. Caught her in the Phillipines in '77 fresh out of "A" school.
Ahhhh to be young and foolish again. :)

A humble thank you to all Veterans on this day, God Bless all of you, for without your service we would not be here.
SeaBiscuit

"Veterans Day is set aside to remember every man and woman who has taken up arms to defend our country. We honor every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine and Coast Guardsman who gave some of the best years of their lives to the service of the United States and stood ready to give life itself on our behalf. Twenty-five million military veterans walk among us. And on this day, our nation thanks them all." President Bush

USN

EM1(SS) (NEC 3364)

Second time in the barrel

LT (Designator 1110)

USS William R. Rush (DD-714)
USS Greenling (SSN-614)
USS Los Angeles (SSN-688)
USS Omaha (SSN-692)
USS Harold E. Holt (FF-1074)

Here's a photo I took from the deck of the USS Howard W. Gilmore (AS-16) at La Maddalena, Sardinia in August 1977. It shows the USS Los Angeles (SSN-688) moored outboard of the USS Nautilus (SSN-571). At the time the LA was the Navy's newest attack boat on it's first Med cruise and the Nautilus was the oldest and on it's last.
