Hitler was a powerful human symbol.... very insightful of Jimmy... or actually - very obvious. Yes, Yassar was the embodiment of all that is Anti Semitic.

Years ago, I had some modicum of respect for Jimmy Carter. Even though he was the worst President in history, at least he seemed a good and moral man.
Boy, was I ever mistaken.

You know if you change some of the words around:
MIAMI (AFP) - Former US President Jimmy Carter called (Adolf Hitler) "a powerful human symbol and forceful advocate" who united (Germans) in their pursuit of a homeland.

Arafat's uncle with another "symbol"
Haj Amin al-Husseini eventually died in exile in 1974. He never returned to Jerusalem after his 1937 departure. His place as leader of the radical, nationalist Palestinian Arabs was taken by his nephew Mohammed Abdel-Raouf Arafat As Qudwa al-Hussaeini, better known as Yasser Arafat. In August 2002, Arafat gave an interview in which he referred to "our hero al-Husseini" as a symbol of Palestinian Arab resistance.
Carter's hero was Arafat whose hero (and uncle) was the mufti whose hero was Hitler.
Carter and Arafat were awarded the peace prize of the inventor of the dynamite adorning the Palikiddihajeen.
The more appropriate award would have been dynamite suppositories.

To: PhilDragoo
Carter is an utter disgrace and shouldn't be allowed to go to the funeral.
To: nopardons
In article at beginning of thread:
Carter "will not be attending the funeral," said Jon Moor, a Carter Center spokesman.
