"Enjoyed your article," James B. Davis writes about our item on disgruntled Americans who are contemplating moving to Canada or beyond because they can't stomach four more years of President Bush.
Mr. Davis, fittingly enough, is founder of Help.Them.Leave.com, a 501(c)3 organization that offers relocation assistance for "disenfranchised" citizens at absolutely no cost.
"In return for your irrevocable renunciation of your United States citizenship, and a sworn statement that you will never return, we will provide free one-way transportation to one of our politically matched, recommended countries on one of the jets we have chartered to provide this service," the organization states.
It goes so far as to carefully match relocation countries to political leanings:
Leftists: France, Germany, Italy or Spain
Socialists: Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, Norway or Sweden
Communists: Cuba or North Korea

Communists: Cuba or North Korea Sounds like a good place for Michael (NO) Moore!
Someone with a DU account post this website on the DU quick. We gotta help these poor lost souls find a place where they can fit in.
Did the dirigiblesque Alec Baldwin make plans to leave this time?
Maybe Madonna has some extra room in her UK mansion to put up these poor political refugees for a few months till they find their way!!
Do you think Madonna would let them use her bathroom?
I'm gonna move to Tasmania and fade away from this world; the fact that Europe is itching for confrontation (against us) is making me ill.
Enter Muslims and Lefties...
Don't leave. Stay here and help us destroy Europe. If they want a fight, let's give them a huge sendoff.
Just kidding. But it does make me ill to think that the thousand year old political drama of the Western Europe is still alive and they still switch their loyalties on a dime.
Packing off the liberals. A noble cause and worthy of our wholehearted support. It'll be hard making do with fewer street artists, ceramicists, lesbian poetesses, aromatherapists, and mimes but we'll find a way I'm sure. (Sighs.)
Have there been very many takers of this deal yet? Any?
Because it may just be one of the most worthy charities in the world. So few people get all that they wish for, or even a decent portion. Of course, many people have a tendency to wish a LOT.
You can tell it's fall because Paris is wearing heavy winter clothes . . . |
The best reply so far!
