The latest on that is that Mike Rosen called the school and informed them that the No Child Left Behind act required the school to give the same access to the Marines as any college has for recruiting purposes. The school district called back to Mike and the Marines and said all Services would have equal access.

We can thank Mike Rosen for fixing this problem. otherwise I am sure the school administration would not have relented.

We must have crossed paths.

I was A&S, then Education, worked for 2 years, then came back and finished up at J-School.

How 'bout that?

That is what my husband keeps assuring me. I've lived in Northern Virginia my whole life, so I am familiar with the infiltration of liberals to an otherwise conservative area!

That is so sad.

I visited Boulder in the mid 1990's to visit the uncle of a boyfriend at the time, and thought it was a pretty town. His Uncle and his wife were practicing Buddhists and so everyone we met in the town were Buddhists. They kept trying to tell me that almost everyone in Boulder was. Very strange.

Ever since I met my Husband, I tease him about Boulder being full of Buddhists. He was an Air Force brat, but spent his Jr. High and High School years in Colorado Springs, so he considers it home. He also went to college at Ft. Lewis in Durango.

Please let us know an office phone number where these administrators may be reached, and if you can, please alert the FBI or Secret Service to this ridiculousness.

Good advice. Hopefully, it's just "ridiculousness."

But history tells us it can be so much more.

Listening to Lewis & Floorwax (radio personalities out of Denver, CO on 103.5). Boulder High School is having a talent show Friday night. One of the acts is a band that includes 2 teachers, the band name is "The Taliband". They will be performing a song they wrote titled "I Wish George Bush was Dead". This was reported by a parent. The band had to audition in front of a group including two other teachers and were selected to perform Friday night.

The people in the education system in Boulder do some stupid crap. They're always getting in the news.

Of course, there is the possibility that their act is a parody of Bin Laden wishing Bush were dead - they actually could be making fun of the Taliban and Bin Laden rather than wishing Bush were dead themselves. Just a thought.

I had a similar thought, but I thought that it could be two conservative teachers (there are a few out there) goofing on the idiot students who slept over in the library.

I had an Earth Science teacher and a history teacher in (public) high school who goofed on liberal students all the time.

"We're worried that in four years we're going to be at war with five countries and we're going to have no trees," senior Cameron Ely-Murdock said.

Well, Cameron who needs trees? All they do is cause polution and then make people drive into them, or run into them on skis!

It's a damn good thing that I don't live around there! They would not finish the act, and emergency personnel would have to be called. Free speech is one thing, but this goes WAY over the line.
