French President Jacques Chirac, confirming Yasser Arafat's death, has hailed the Palestinian leader as a man of courage and conviction who embodied the Palestinian struggle for a state.

France's Chirac hails Arafat as man of courage

Here's hailing France's Chirac as a man of thievery and extremely low character.

Courage? In 1972 did it take courage to slaughter 12 unarmed Israeli athletes? How big a man does it take to shoot an old man (Leon Klinghoffer) in a wheelchair and push him off the side of a boat? Bombing a pizza parlor? Strapping bombs to teenage girls to kill other teenage girls?

I hope he is in the seventh circle of Hell, waist deep in the molten lava with the Harpies gouging at his eyes for all eternity.

Chirac gave millions of dollars to Arafat, so he considers him a good friend. Chirac is a mental dwarf.

How can any moral human being praise a terrorist such as Arafat? Not only has he murdered innocent women and children, but his actions have caused nothing but death and poverty for the PLO. He is no better than Saddam, Hitler, or Stalin. It looks as if the Vichy government is back in power.

Chirac doesn't have courage, he doesn't know courage, he doesn't want courage. Modern French culture despises courage. It only values pandering. And by that measure, Chirac is a great French leader.

CIA files reveal that Arafat ripped babies from their mother's wombs, killing both mother and child.

The man was a vicious murderer and terrorist. Chirac is little better.

After hearing all the corrupt politicians describe this terrorist, they had better place guards at the tomb to witness his ascention to virgin land.
Why does no reporter ask if he had AIDS?
He wore gloves in the video where the fat guy looked afraid that Arafat would infect him!
They have said what he didn't have, but have they ever said what he did have?

Compared to Chirac, Pee Wee Herman is a man of courage.

I keep reading how bitter the French are about no longer being a world power & that this is a factor in their antagonism toward the US. With their "leaders" making bonehead statements like this, it should be no surprise to anyone that France has fallen to a 2nd rate power. In fact, I'm surprised that it hasn't become a Third World country yet. With the rest of Europe proping them up, this transition may take a few more decades.
