Jimmy Carter has requested permission to attend Arafat's funeral, per Andrea Mitchell. Carter is said to be eager to go. No word yet from the White House.
Low level State Dept. delegation will attend.

I think Jimmy Carter did more to destroy this country than any other president we have ever had. I think he was the beginning of terrorism as we know it with his bad decisions and stupid appeasment and his refusal to come to the aid of the Shah of Iran. Are we sure Jimmah is requesting permission from the US government? Maybe he is seeking permission from Israel or from the nonexistent Palestinian state. Leftists like him and Jesse "The Statesman" Jackson generally fly around the world at will, wreaking havoc and making us look stupid.
