Do you (or does anyone) know who was the POW in the political ad (here in southern OH) who stated the SBV ads were lies and in all his time as a POW he never heard any of this? He was rooting for Kerry of course.

The Swift Boaters were the turning point in the polls. But if you look at the vote, the election was won in the trenches at the Churches on the moral issues of abortion and gay marriage. No doubt the Swift Boaters turned Kerry's minute convention bounce into a post convention fall.

Actually the polling shows the swiftboat revelations were part of the values thing..and certainly those people overlap with other values voters...values also like truth, trustworthiness, loyalty to your brothers in arms and to your country.

I still find Kerry's hubris a little breathtaking.
To go from Anti-war zealot hurting his fellow G.I.'s to "war hero" with a such a straight face. I kept waiting for him to yell "April Fool".
The Swift-vets did hit the gong on him. The only difference being the during the Gong show the singer would stop singing after being gonged.

Thank you, Swiftboat Vets, for coming to the aid of your country again. The Swiftboat ads were the turning point of this election, and we will be eternally grateful to them for saving us from the traitor John Kerry.
And thank all of the brave vets who have sacrificed to keep our great country free. Thank God for our heroic veterans!
