When I read this article I thought it must have been written by the people at theonion.com - if we could just find out what makes those Bush-voting idiots who eat at Applebee's and Denny's tick, we might be able to figure out how to convince them to vote for a Democrat. These people are condescending without realizing it. Amusing.

Call me a country bumpkin, but where I come from, Applebees and Cracker Barrel are fairly nice restaurants. Apparently not nice enough for RATS

Perhaps that's why I enjoy eating at Applebee's, at Crackerbarrel, and at Denny's ... but many of the waitresses wear those stupid yellow wristband things that John Kerry and the guy that toured France wore.

"...we don't even go to the Cracker Barrels and the Denny’s as well," added Donna Brazile..."

Are these two choices coincidental? anyone?

Cracker Barrel probably has an entirely different meaning to Ms. Brazile.

The "Democratic Leadership Council" is part of the problem, NOT part of the solution!!!! These, after all, are the Third Way imperialists, exemplified by clinton!!!! They also work hand in glove with Soros, who bankrolled Kerry.

I don't care if they eat at Applebee's or the Ritz. If they're Third Way globalists, I don't want ANY part of them!!!!

"Clinton White House political director Doug Sosnik, sums up the answer in one word: Applebee’s."

That article made me laugh out loud. Only an elitist could come up with the 'applebee's strategy.' I imagine Sosnik gets paid a handsome six figure salary to come up with this foolishness. I guess whichever six figure consultant that came up with the kerry/edwards 'wendy's strategy' has been given the boot, and it's applebee's for '08. The only disturbing thing about the article was that the dems. seem to have figured out that michael moore is working for the republicans. The dem. conspiracy theories swayed a lot of votes toward bush.

Applebees sucks. Processed crap they call food.

Beside the point...notice how Dems are all about "selling" and "message"?

Thus, they have no principle. That's why they lose and it's that simple. What principle they do try to have (minimum wage, government control of healthcare, etc) is a loser and they know it.

So every election they take the hot, steamy pile of dog crap that is their ideals and they wrap it up in yet another pretty package hoping it will sell.

Sooner or later everyone realizes, except for the totally insane, that it's still dog crap.

Applebee's is great, especially their salad bar. Denny's is awesome at 3-4am breakfast. Okay, Rush Limbaugh today received a call from a Dem accusing him of being elitist. Well, I could see Rush eating at places like these and fitting right in. That's what makes these lefties so elitist. So they want to fit in, like if they think they can win a popularity contest by hangin' with regular people, they have the wrong idea. If they discover candidates from "red country" they will be more conservative Dems, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-faith-based, and sympathetic to the small business as well as to the unions. The east/left coast elites won't go for that. And they will be bullish on American sovereignty....that won't sit well with the international elites at the big cocktail parties for the beautiful people. So they become more like us (yikes) or they stay in their blue metros and continue the disconnect.

I ate at Applebee's - ONCE - 10 years ago when they first opened in Houston. It was horrible!

Chili's, On the Boarder, Black Eyed Pea are much better, and in the same price range.

That nasty party would like to devise a "sell the sizzle not the steak" kind of marketing. Unfortunately for them, they can't market their baby-killing, citizen-disarmimg, deviate-legitimizing entree to enough people. Applebee's menu, service and ambience aren't an attempted scam as the K-flopper's campaign was.

I avoid Applebee's like the plague. Only chain restaurant I like is Legal SeaFood. Houlihan's has good bar food though.

Being “more like them” requires finding Democratic leaders from small-town and rural America.

What about Tom Dasshole from South Dakota? He's a 'Rat leader from rural America. He'd be great!
