Trevor, Trevor, you are oh so clever
turning eighteen today,
does this mean you'll go away?
oh where did they go?
Those years I want to know
when frogs in your pocket
and an old fishing pole
made your heart sing!
My Trevor and now you're
eighteen, all grown
and bold
Trevor my Trevor where did the years go!

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
On the ! days you're feeling blue.
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.
I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

Oh my now you've done it! I have tears streaming down my face & I can't see to type! The funny thing is & maybe that's just boys, we used to go fishing all the time just him & I. Dad doesn't like to fish anymore. There is a dry well near our home & when it rains hard the puddle fills with polywogs. Every time they would show up I would find buckets or bowls or jars of them in his room. One year he dumped a whole jar...hundreds of them in his fish tank. It killed all the fish in the end but they ate like kings for a day! I am printing this out for him (and me). You've touched my heart & I think you're a gem! Thank you Ms Feather. Very much.
