People like you get on my nerves, defending that crap. It's EXTORTION to demand a tip.
By your reasoning, I as a restaurant owner can confidently coast on my butt by offering lousy service and/or food without fear of recrimination.
Well, some would never return, but I'm certain your kind would.
I hate lousy tippers, my girls will do $200 in sales and get $15 in tips. Cheap bastards, I keep telling the girls to tell the cheap no tiping SOBs to go some place else. Tipping shows management and staff that you like the place, if you don't tip then you don't like the place and you shouldn't be there. Just the other day I told a good customer that spends alot of money to go some place else and don't come back. I found out that he NEVER tips, screw him and all the other cheap SOBs like him.
And before you get on my butt about paying good I paid my staff 6/7 an hour, way way over minium since I want the best staff I can get.
Bottom line tip or keep your sorry self at the house.
