But for now lemme ask if any of you 3 caught "Frontline" last night?
Dealt with "marketing" [read: advertising] in America today; and, the brainstems behind the machine driving it (mostly located in the heart of NYC, BTW).
Spectacular & shockingly honest in its portrayal of the ghouls behind the scenes who study ever nuance of human behavior for the express purpose of successfully selling *things*.
But it really got interesting when the subject changed to *politics* and what *they're* doing to employ all the sciopsychological shenanagans against an ignorant public to sell a canidate or party.
Something bert, FGS & I have spoken of many times in the past, the Frontline people validated.
Was well worth the 90 minute investment fellas & probably never to be seen again.
...not after the PBS Big Bugs catch wind of what the Frontline geeks revealed? ;^)
The idea around which liberalism coheres is that NOTHING actually matters but PR.
Missed it, but it sounds like it would have been worth watching. If for no other reason to validate what many of us instinctively know.

That would be Madison Avenue I presume. They are very good at what they do. Their stock in trade is appealing to the emotions and other weaknesses in the human condition. I think we've discussed this before haven't we?
There's ANOTHER THREAD going that's discussing the attack on the straight white WASP from these same folks. Nothing really new here but it could raise some awareness of the interlocking MO's.
FGS

No, Dan, I'll have to see what I can dredge up at pbs.org; thanks for the heads-up.
