Better than Racicot. I don't know where Gonzalez stands on abortion, gay marriage, or stem cell harvesting, but I have heard that Racicot is "pro-choice" and not very socially conservative.

Is he the high-profile Hispanic who is NOT committed to the pro-life agenda?

If so, then this is good because it keeps him out of the running for a seat on the Supreme Court!

But I thought Republicans hate minorities and try to keep them down. That's what Terry McAuffille told me.

This is a good and appropriate choice given skills, experience and trust level. Hope it is true.

Great choice but this may take him out of the running for the USSC seat when/if Thomas or Scalia are promoted to Chief Justice of the United States.

The Democrats will hard-pressed to filibuster another Latino.

I would doubt that Racicot is anything but pro-life.
Why? Because he was doing Catholic outreach for the RNC, and I don't think they would put him in that role if he were not pro-life.

But who knows?

Good choice. I thought Mr. Gonzolez was slated for SCOTUS.

That leaves Ted Olsen as a Supreme maybe?
