Biblically, my understanding of this or any matter that involves wrong-doing in my community can be found in Matthew 18:15-18.
15"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. 16But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'17If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. 18"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Interesting approach to the situation ... maybe a less volatile example could have been used?

You obviously don't have an understanding of what you posted.
1. Child pornography is not a "lesser crime within your neighborhood". We're not talking graffiti on a school wall.
2. Child pornography is not just "wrong-doing in [your] community". It goes above and beyond that.
3. The quote was "if your brother sins against you". In the case of child pornography, no "sin" has been committed against you. Instead, it's a crime committed against society at large.
I hope you will eventually see the difference.
