It's Orange County's fault. They just said they were going to start handing out warnings to people who had not removed their plywood from their windows. I hope they do not notice the two we still have up on the side of the house...they are extremely difficult to get to!

Nope, Nov. 30th is the end but that was before Global Warming
TM. The FAQ page I posted earlier mentions that ocean temps must be at least 80º F for tropical cyclones to form. (
here) So while I joke about Global Warming, the cycle of global temps from sunspot activity can extend or contract conditions favorable for tc development.

From the 1130 ET Tropical Weather Outlook:
UPPER-LEVEL WINDS ARE ONLY MARGINALLY FAVORABLE FOR A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL CYCLONE TO DEVELOP DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY NORTHEASTWARD. THE AIR FORCE RESERVE RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THIS AFTERNOON HAS BEEN CANCELED. HOWEVER ...ANOTHER AIRCRAFT IS SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THE SYSTEM THURSDAY ...IF NECESSARY.
was this thread a dead cat bounce for the hurricane season? Let's hope so.

Oh brother. Not again. I checked the nhc.noaa website this morning and they had nothing on this. Nothing to worry about yet?

well, I have to share part of the blame -- I put the storm supplies back into the pantry. I knew better, too.
