Judge removes juror from Scott Peterson's murder trial
Scott Peterson could face the death penalty if convicted of killing his wife and unborn son
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Jurors who have been weighing capital murder charges against Scott Peterson for five days were ordered Tuesday afternoon to start from scratch after a panelist was removed from the jury and replaced with an alternate.
Judge Alfred Delucchi did not give a specific reason for the removal of the woman, Juror 7, but indicated in his instructions to the remaining jurors that the dismissed juror may have violated court rules by trying to investigate the case on her own.
"You must decide all questions of fact in this case from the evidence received in this trial and not from any other source," the judge added after reading jurors the standard, state-approved jury instructions given to deliberating jurors when one of their number is dismissed.
The extra sentence is part of the an official instruction entitled "Juror Forbidden To Make Any Independent Investigation." While that instruction is delivered to all juries before they begin deliberating, it is not normally read again when a panelist is dismissed.

LOL!
"Offer folks $50,000 to the first person who is able to dump a body from a boat identical to Scott's and there would be hundreds of videos showing how it could be done.
Scott had even more motivation to be able to make it happen"
You've got that right. Further, Scott said he was at Brooks Island, and I've read the water is shallow there. He also washed his clothes and showered because he said he was wet. Does it really matter if he tipped the boat? Did the prosecustion ever say he didn't tip the boat? She did wash up at the Bay....the tipping boat argument seems like a red herring to me.
Hmmmm. Why is Geragos sleeping in the boat? Surely he can afford a motel room.
LOL!
I agree this is a dub move. But what is the man thinking???

On WS, they're saying that it is Scott's actual boat. But again, why the dummy and anchors?
I would think the visual would do more damage than the good that could be gleaned by wondering about a video they never saw.

But Psyche says it's not his boat.
Now I'm talking to myself in circles!

Too bad this trial wasn't held in NY city b/c the boat would have been stolen by now. CTV is saying how tasteless Geragross was to have left this boat in the parking lot. Who is to say he didnt just get out of the boat, lift the body out and then go home and shower....he was probably freezing and had to warm up...a true cold blooded killer !
A while back someone expalined exactly how the body could have been dumped without the boat tipping. I personally always thought Scott made two trips -- and he did have a two-day ticket.
The title here is very clear as to topic. Why would those who allegedly have no interest in it keep bumping it? I guess they have nothing else to do. Also, the other day I noted that many from the "Westerfield is innocent" crowd & lurking Scott/Geragos groupies visited the Scott threads.
I suspect 2 trips as well. For all we know, the prosecution thinks so too, but there is no evidence (except for that license filled out for the 23-24). It is very odd he filled it out that way....the jury may come to the same conclusion in their deliberations...at least I'm hoping.
Because that is where he landed AFTER RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH HIS HEAD CUT OFF. ;-)
From Article:7:02 p.m. PT
A 14-foot aluminum Gamefisher boat identical to Scott Peterson's sits in a corner parking lot a block and a half away from the courthouse. Four homemade anchors anda headless dummy dressed in blue overalls and tied up in duct tape rest in the bed of the boat. It is the boat the defense used in a video reenactment designed to show the boat would have capsized if Peterson tried to dump his wife over the side. The judge ruled it inadmissible and jurors never saw it, but here it is in the midst of deliberations for anyone to see. There are two camera crews. Now three. Now four. Now five.... Harriet Ryan
I don't understand this business of jurors not doing their own investigations.
If one can find evidence for OR against the defendant that the police or attorneys couldn't find does that not advance justice?

That would be like turning a bunch of K-schoolers loose in a monastery with a big box of crayons and no paper.
I think you're right about the two trips. I htink he planned for only one, but wasn't sure which day.
I think his nerves drove him back during the day on the 24th, couldn't settle himself down to go golfing, his preferred alibi.
