There were minor voting irregularities on Election Day — long lines, voting machine breakdowns, shortages of provisional ballots — but some people are now leveling charges of voter fraud.
Doug Chapin, a nonpartisan election analyst, finds the claims to be baseless. "There were no problems that would lead me to believe that there were stolen elections or widespread fraud," he said.
"There was no overwhelming reason to cast doubt on the outcome of this election," seconded Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, the campaign manager for Al Gore's 2000 campaign. "George Bush got more votes this time."
Nevertheless, many people have devised various theories, including stories of voters in largely Democratic counties in Florida whose votes were changed for Bush, phantom voters in Ohio, and exit polls showing John Kerry in the lead that were truer than the final tally. Off the record, many Democratic strategists dismiss such allegations, but they also know such resentment can be channeled for political use in the future.

Just got off the phone with my uncle Fernando in Ohio. He's been standing in line for a week now. He's exhausted and frustrated, but he's going to cast a Kerry/Edwards vote. We need to give it time, these people are still voting.
Conspiracy theorists have it easy, they never ever have to prove their point, instead they rely on the fact that others won't take the effort to disprove them, and once someone does, they just accuse that person of being part of the conspiracy, and they just shift the argument.
They are, in short, small minded idiots.
Sean is not the brightest bulb in the package. He parrtots Rush, and is a bragadoccio, selling his book. There has never been a session that he does not talk about his, or the guests' books. Sean is so transparent. Further, his grammar is horrible. Sean, "Me and my wife went to the movies..." If I were to make that statement when I was growing up, my Dad would have washed my mouth out with soap.
We should take advantage of their suspicions and put in place measures to prevent vote fraud for all polling places.
ABC can be the tops of the heap of bad and slanted news reporting but there are times,when they tell the truth and my jaw drops to the floor. And still I wonder, what their ulterior motive could be...It's a shame they've made me mistrust them, to this extent.
"We are requesting an investigation into all the allegations, of irregularities with respect to the electronic and other voting machines so that people can have confidence in the result of this election, and so that any weaknesses are changed before the next election," said Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y.
The congressmen's letter mentions the Web site ustogether.org, which questions why so many counties in Florida that have more registered Democrats than Republicans ended up voting for President Bush. The Web site implies someone fixed the results.
In regard to Lafayette County, one of the counties in question, it is true that there are far more registered Democrats in that county than Republicans (3,570 to 570, respectively), and that the county elected Bush in this year's election, but the county elected Bush in the last election, too.
Hmmmm, let's see, more than 90% of the vote in Detroit went to Kerry, more than 80% of the DC vote went to Kerry, some Cuyahoga Cty voting looked suspicious, and the same folks in Boston, NYC and Chicago have been voting Democrat for the past 100 years or more, but let's check those "Republican" votes Congressman "Waddler"....

I think that Sean can be very effective, on his television program. He's blasted many a liberal out of the water, prompting them to sit there spluttering for something to say or walking off altogether. I agree with you that he needs to work on the radio format.
Uncle Fernando could have already voted for Kerry/Edwards
in Ohio if he hadn't had to spend all that time voting in
Florida, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Iowa, and twice in Illinois.

Or, they need to put this in their pocket so that when they use to fraud card to win an election they can show their "even-handedness" in 2004 to quell any uproar.
That is an outrageous character assassination. My uncle Fernando is part of a minority in the US. He has suffered terribly. He's a dedicated Democrat and would never engage in the voter fraud you are suggesting. This is shameful and I am saddened.

He is enthusiastic and sincere; has traveled around to college and university campuses doing his thing; and has been very sucessful sin his sharing the 'unabridged' ideas that motivate and inspire Republicans which are seldom explored on the now, Left/wing campuses.
Could we just appreciate 'what Republicans do' . . .appreciate their success; in that they are 'getting the word out'; even, if on occasion; in the 'less than perfect' tense.
There is something for everybody; and someone to learn from. . .for everyone.
