One thing's for sure, if the Blues secede, those of us in Jesusland ain't gonna fight a Civil War to keep them from going. You're right, the Civil War would be when people like me (a red state man in a red county in one of the deepest blue states--Illinois) said, "Hey wait just a minute, we ain't going with you. If Chicago wants to secede, she can become part of Wisconsin and get gone, but we aren't becoming Canadians." And then, if necessary, we pick up rifles to enforce our wishes.

NO. Wisconsin has too many beautiful lakes and woods to go to the blues.

Even supposedly True Blue States like Maryland will have a tough time getting secession to happen. Only 4 counties out of a total of 23 went for Kerry. The Only states that could even possibly secede are Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Massachusetts and possibly Washington. The rest of the Blue states are mostly Red on a county by count basis.
In sum all of the New England states are worthless and Washington can't eat all their apples by themselves. Let them go. However if we go to war it will be short and we can start with all the lawyers.
