Islamic school set ablaze in Netherlands
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Suspected arsonists set an Islamic elementary school on fire Tuesday amid a string of attacks following the killing of a Dutch filmmaker by an alleged Islamic extremist.
Firefighters struggled to extinguish the flames at the burning Bedir school in the southern town of Uden, where someone had scrawled "Theo Rest in Peace" in the building in homage to slain filmmaker Theo van Gogh, but the building was destroyed in the blaze.
Uden Mayor Joke Kersten told Dutch television she didn't know the exact cause of the fire but suspected arson. She said the school had not been the target of prior attacks.
Arsonists attempted to burn down Protestant churches in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort in apparent retaliation for the bombing of a Muslim elementary school in Eindhoven on Monday, police said.
Muslim sites have been the target of a half-dozen attacks in the past week. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
Tensions have been high in the Netherlands in the week since the murder of Van Gogh, who was shot and stabbed in Amsterdam by an alleged Islamic radical after making a movie critical of Islam. A funeral was held for Van Gogh on Tuesday.
In Utrecht, police arrived Tuesday to find that a church window had been smashed and a container of flammable liquid thrown inside. In Amersfoort, several Molotov cocktails were thrown at the outside wall of a church.
Maybe you should do some wind sprints.
There is that NAZI-type Christian Identity Movement.
There are some very extreme people who claim to be Christians. We don't condemn all Christians because of them.
Muslims are criticizing the extremists. But this is sometimes dangerous.
I think we really need to go after the terrorists. And I think that democracy will be a healthy thing for countries in the ME. Many Muslim countries are democracies.
Arutz Sheva IsraelNationalNews.com printed my comment re the Islamic Prophecy (written with a certain amount of scarcasim, granted, but you might find it interesting:

24 - "The arson of churches is accompanied by White Power signs thus commited by Racist pigs who use the murder of TvG for spreading hatred.
Interesting - and therefore you should mean the "Racist pigs" of Islam, who have blown up thousands and thousands of innocent Christians and churches and Jews all over the world are White Power "Racist pigs"?
Many Muslims already live in democracies. The Iraqis are very anxious to vote.
They need help to get an army and police so they can defend themselves from the Iraqi and foreign terrorists.
After the voting, the terrorists will lose a lot of credibility.
Saddam killed a huge number of his people and didn't have anything to show for it. I think that the way we are fighting that civilian casualities and deaths are minimized. It is the terrorists who are deliberately blowing up the poor Iraqi civilians.
Every moderate Muslim organisation in the Netherlands is speaking out against the murder. They despise the fact Islam is used as the reason for the murder.
My friends (which I know for 20 years) originally from Turkey hate these extremists as much as you and I do.
Please, even if you do not answer all my replies to you, read the links I posted in them. I'm sure it will open your eyes, and you'll see where many of us are coming from.
Looks like your picking up the HTML skills quite well.
I think most Muslims live in countries that are democracies. They aren't perfect democracies, but people vote, there are elections, some protections for human rights.
Give your friend some good advice, and tell him to organize and VOCALIZE an opposition, before he gets caught in the inevitable crossfire.
Then again, they would say that if they believe that it will lead to a backlash against all Muslims (and apparently has), and know they need to get their numbers up first... (and they would if the status quo remains as it is now)
ARAB MEDIA FORCED OUT OF FALLUJAH FOR NOT COLLABORATING WITH TERRORISTS
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a press statement on 3 November (http://www.centcom.mil) citing a report that appeared in the London-based "Al-Quds al-Arabi" reporting that militants have forced four Arabic-language media outlets out of Al-Fallujah in recent days. The press release states that Al-Arabiyah television, the Lebanese Broadcasting Company (LBC), Al-Iraqiyah television, and Middle East Broadcasting Company were forced to leave Al-Fallujah by militants who claimed the media outlets' coverage was biased in favor of multinational forces. The news outlets had reportedly refused to air stock footage provided by the militants who depicted alleged civilian casualties. Reporters from Al-Arabiyah and MBC told coalition officials that correspondents in the city were threatened and said some correspondents had left the city for safety reasons.
The moderates are probably afraid to speak out against
the extremists in fear of their own lives. Sort of like
the ordinary Germans were afraid of the Nazis.
52 - Teezle, you may be surprised about FRee Republic. We probably have more people on this forum who know more about the Muslim religion than most Muslims, and particularly on like you, who is probably Indonesian-Dutch, and probably never lived under the Muslim yoke.
Do a FR search, and you will find many long discussions of the Koran, and dozens/hundreds of quotes to support our positions over the past few years.
SPEAKING UP IS DANGEROUS
Last week, unknown militants gunned down Iraqi broadcaster Liqa Abd al-Razzaq and three of her companions in a Baghdad taxi, according to media reports. Abd al-Razzaq was well-known to Iraqis as the broadcaster for Al-Sharqiyah television's "Sahafah" (Press) program and as a newsreader, Al-Sharqiyah reported. She previously worked for the Iraqi state-run media under the Hussein regime as a broadcaster with domestic Iraqi television and with the Iraqi Satellite Channel. Abd al-Razzaq was reportedly also under contract with U.S.-supported Al-Iraqiyah television. Militants gunned down Abd al-Razzaq's husband two months ago for reportedly working with the U.S. military. Abd al-Razzaq left behind a newborn daughter and six-year-old son.
