Hmm, if not Scalia, then Thomas as Chief Justice. Have you ever seen/heard Thomas speak? Once in a while you can catch a bit of him on C-Span, talking to school kids or the like. He is marvelous, so inspiring, such a decent, wonderful man.

Met both Scalia and Thomas at events at my school. Both are eloquent, charming and brilliant men. However, I prefer Thomas because he is less wedded to the notion of stare decisis than Scalia. However, should the "worst" happen and Scalia be Chief Justice, I'll still be busting out champagne.
