I'd like to know why they were taken hostage--former employee flipped out, or another issue?
Hard to tell, the shots we saw showed a guy standing by the window with arms folded and another to the left standing around. This was on the top floor of the building.
Me too. FNC's coverage is spotty so it is nearly impossible to find anything out.
Looks isolated....

Witnesses said a man came into the Consulate with a gun and held up a female cashier.
The suspect brought a female hostage outside building, and was shot by police. The hostage appeared to be unharmed.
LAPD took the man into custody with injuries and was transported to a local hospital, according to NBC4's Justin Jaeger.
The Mexican Consulate General is located at 2401 W. 6th Street in the Westlake District in Los Angeles.
Police shut down a major area surrounding MacArthur Park near the intersection of 6th and Parkview.
