My friend and I are taking over his house and sending his wife to my house for the weekend and will have a 48 hour non-stop Halo fest.

I'll wait for Xmas to get it! But it looks like a cool game, I know Halo 1 was great!

"I will give you the razor, if I can sell you the razor blades!"

Halo 2 will only be for the Xbox. The end-game is to get you to buy Microsoft hardware. It's a battle between SOny and MS...to the death!

My son wants it ASAP but since he had 4 B's on his first-quarter report card, he is going to have to wait until Christmas.

If I hear of any liberal-infection of the game, I'm not buying it. You "early adopters", please keep us posted!

Bungie, if memory serves correctly, is owned by Microsoft, so the chances of a PS2 version of Halo is slim. Halo is available in a PC version though. It's a good play on PC too.

Yet another reason to play America's Army! Not the political reason, of course. The unspoken, "you have to buy it."

My tax dollars paid for AA, and despite its faults, I can't complain. I have finally seen an enjoyable reason to pay my taxes.

Sadly, we use Macs.

Shame about Bungie... they used to make some of the BEST Mac games!

thanks anyway.

Yeah...I played the first one and am looking forward to the 2nd. Essentially you are trying to save humanity from an "alien race" that has launched a "holy war" or "jihad" on humanity.

I think I will wait for the PC port - playing a FPS with a controller is just wrong. A keyboard and mouse are the only proper tools for this type of game. And I hope you guys don't screw up the port first one did - the first game ran like a bloated big on my & all of my friend's computers, despite the fact that each of our machines have ~2-3 times as fast CPU, 8-16 times as much RAM, as good or much better video chips and so on than the Xbox. If Doom 3 & CS:Source can run smooth as silk on my machine, why is Halo so freakin choppy?

Not trying to pick a fight. I just saw this in the article and thought it was a hoot!

Anyway, I have Halo 2, and it's bad to the BONE! An outstanding game! I couldn't care less about the politics of its developers. I love it!

"change the meaning of the quote"

I'm not sure they changed the meaning of the quote if it included the word "adventure". Libs always like to say Bush is adventuring in the middle-east. Its a give-away. Nonetheless, Microsoft is a great American company, they are not ideologues, and I'll buy Halo-2. I won't see "meet the fockers" - they ARE ideologues.

Roger that, Dread. I love Halo 2, but I wish I could plug in my mouse and keyboard for some real heavy-duty precision sniping!

No, no, no, my friend. Halo 2 will shortly be unseated by Half-life 2. The story line and the graphics are supposed to blow Halo 2 out of the water and make it cry like a little girly-game...:-)

Well, "High Noon" was supposed to be a critique of Hollywood execs who wouldn't stand up for blacklisted writers and actors, and "Aliens" was written as an anti-Vietnam film... I have a confession to make...I hate High Noon. Always have. So did Louis L'Amour, saying the flick was utterly unbelievable. That a townful of armed men would be terrorized by three scuzzy ex-cons is about as absurd as it gets. They'd have been gunned down by a posse within 15 minutes, in real life. Now, Aliens, on the other hand, is a masterpiece!
