I would like to make a collection of all the news article threads wherein our good friends in the dying Main Stream Media have exhibited "exploding head" behavior over the results of the recent election.
I've been somewhat out of touch with the forum since the election, so I've only read a few of what I am sure are MANY meltdowns on the Left side of the ink-stained wretch aisle.
Yes, you can include the pre-election stuff from Lawrence O'Donnell, since his head has continued to explode since his LiarLiarLiarLiarLiarLiar performance with O'Neill before November 2. I'm sure the mere presence of Bush in the White House for the next four years will inspire Lawrence to even more entertaining feats of foaming depravity.
I want to rate the various articles for several things:
If you can think of any other categories that should be measured, let me know.
Yes, it will be beyond interesting. The Congressional Communists, Pelosi and crowd, will either make even greater asses and anti-patriots out of themselves or will shut up the by the liberal Mafia..which will tell them to shut their mouths or swim with the fishes...
These criminals are in trouble, a big part of them do not even realize it, but some do...this will be interesting to see how they try and survive in REAL AMERICA.
here is a new headline that falls into the "clueless" catagory:
"Howard Dean runs for DNC chair"
Is God smiling or what? LMAO!!! I was literally rolling on the floor laughing my @ss off when I heard that. I still am!!
ROTFLMFAO!!!! Someone poor water on me!!!!
Thomas Oliphant (The Boston Globe) Not a mandate, but a contract (November 3, 2004)

Do the DUmmies ever want to win an election again?
YAAAAHHHH BABBY!!!!

" The election is "closer than Lassie and Timmy"
I am book marking this thread for future reading pleasure. I don't have the links, but Dowd on Sunday and Krugman in Monday's NY Slimes were both classics.
In related news, the Republican National Committee just released the following letter:Dear Democratic Party,
This isn't any sort of fun if you're not even going to try.
Please, give us something to work with here, huh?
Sincerely,
Ed Gillispie
PS: You know the hazards of mixing medications, right? Just checking.
Dean E. Murphy (The New York Times): NYT wishes for "act of God" to remove Bush (from LGF) (November 7, 2004)
My God, he's quoting Sean Freaking Wilentz!!!
Original article:
A long, long time ago...when the TV news biz started
They knew not where it would go
They hoped it would last forever...no matter how they did their jobs
But there were things that they just couldn't know
The public trust they were abusing...they thought that they would catch us snoozing
They sneaked in their bias...pretending to be pious
Talk Radio, cable, and internet...showed them all that their match they met
In his Depends Cronkite wet and Old Media had died
So bye, bye to Old Media, bye
It was quite a run but you are done and now it won't fly
New Media's here, so be a big girl, don't cry
We were laughing as Old Media died...laughing as Old Media died
It was Brokaw, Jennings, and Rather who each night put out all that blather
They determined what was news
They pretended that they were real journalists...the more we heard, the more we're p*ssed
We grew so weary of their slanted views
Every chance they'd knock the GOP...it was obvious, the blind could see
While they put out their leftist prattle...we were getting set for the battle
Well, there came a guy named JimRob who had quite enough
It was time our side proved that it had the right stuff...he took charge and showed them it wasn't a bluff
Old Media would die
We were singing, bye, bye to Old Media, bye
It was quite a run but you are done and now it won't fly
New Media's here, so be a big girl, don't cry
We were laughing as Old Media died...laughing as Old Media died
For years the game they had been winning 'cause they were really good at spinning
It was easy as could be
Entertainment they sometimes threw in for fun...they came down hard on those with guns
Oh my, there's Katie's colonoscopy
There was shock when they examined her..."That's her brain" each one would soon concur
Then the nurses all started screaming...when they realized they're not dreaming
We heard some shout, "Here is a chance we cannot let pass...we will say we're sorry if we're being too crass
Everyone knew Katie's head was in her *ss"
Old Media would die
We were singing, bye, bye to Old Media, bye
It was quite a run but you are done and now it won't fly
New Media's here, so be a big girl, don't cry
We were laughing as Old Media died...laughing as Old Media died
Their cheerleading really was shameless...for what RATS did they're always blameless
No one had been too surprised
To the whole world they'd proven that they were whores...they kissed the feet of Michael Moore
Can I please have that pizza supersized?
He ballooned up to a half a ton...he could cause an eclipse of the sun
To the anchors he was a hero...while things burned they're playing like Nero
There was no chance they would show both sides of anything...propaganda they had been determined to bring
One day they were foiled by the vast right wing
Old Media would die
We were singing, bye, bye to Old Media, bye
It was quite a run but you are done and now it won't fly
New Media's here, so be a big girl, don't cry
We were laughing as Old Media died...laughing as Old Media died
Would they do what's right? They're saying, "NO, never"...they thought they were just so very clever
They thought they'd get away with it
Docs were found down in Sandy Berger's pants...and Dan Rather thought he'd take a chance
With those forgeries now George Bush he would get
Dan used them and he was elated...but Bush is misunderestimated
Thanks to a group of sleepers...pajama-wearing FReepers
So Dan Rather's plan would fail...Ken's frequency was now in a jail
A happy ending to this tale
Old Media would die
We were singing, bye, bye to Old Media, bye
It was quite a run but you are done and now it won't fly
New Media's here, so be a big girl, don't cry
We were laughing as Old Media died
You would think these people would buy a clue? What about the latest from Babs? As if anyone cares?

They are all trying to cast this election as close, or a narrow win. Right! They will never learn.
This is going to be a busy thread...lol
I laid out a format, but I'm open to suggestion. I kind of want to condense all this later for a final thread version, including stuff like Oliphant's wife (who works for CBS), his daughter (who worked for the Kerry campaign), Sean Wilentz's history (pardon the pun) of supporting Demi causes, etc.
LOL! Thanx, Doug! It was good to see you hanging in there during the runup to the election! ;-)
This is the one area where Bush can very cleanly deliver to these voters who supported him. And he did not answer the question in the debate whether he approved of the overturning of Roe v. Wade. He dodged that question. And by having probably three appointments over the next three/four years, he will put in place a Bush court that we will be talking about a generation from now. And it will move to the right. Whether it will go so far as to overturn Roe v. Wade - which has been settled law for over 30 years - if they did that, they would trigger a revolution in this country that would finally respond to Pat Buchanan.

This mandate talk is ridiculous
in a country where 49 percent said we've had this guy for four years and we don't want him for another minute
Bush has strength through the Republican Senate. That's where all the strength's going to come from. But the government's bankrupt. It can't do anything Bush has been talking about. He had a Social Security commission recommend options back when there was a gigantic surplus. None of their work is relevant to this deficit situation. But the big problem the country now has, which is going to produce a serious discussion of secession over the next 20 years, is that the segment of the country that pays for the federal government is now being governed by the people who don't pay for the federal government. Ninety percent of the red states are welfare client states of the federal government. They collect more from the federal government than they send in. New York and California, Connecticut, the states that are blue are all the states that are paying for the bulk of everything this government does, from the ward of Social Security to everything else, and the people in those states don't like what this government is doing. That cannot hold.

i guess a 4 on head exploding.. he was slightly foaming at the mouth and hyperventilating..
maybe there should be a certafiably insane rating..

Maybe he can get lessons from Howard Dean on how to release the pressure...
Ms. Clift, at the time of the Dred Scott decision, slavery had been "settled law" for a lot longer than that. When the Constitution was amended to give women the right to vote, "settled law" had deprived them of it for a lot longer than 30 years too.
