Basically I think the accusation being made here are erroneous, at least from the stand point of the game and the published books pertaining to the game.

If you've played the game and read the books associated with it. The statements cited in Entertainment Weekly and the accusations made in the thread simply don't jive.

The history of the Halo story line is very, very different than what was cited in the magazine and the thread. This whole thread seems like it may be nothing more than some hit piece against MS. Even if this Staten guy is opposed to the president his feelings are not the feeling of MS and the actual game storyline does not correspond with the assertions made in this thread.

Halo is a superweapon designed both to study the Flood and to destroy any 'food' in the Galaxy, to prevent it from spreading.

Guilty Spark: "This installation's blast has a maximum radius of 25,000 lightyears. But once the others follow suit, this galaxy will be quite devoid of sentient life. Or at least any of sufficient biomass to sustain the Flood."
