The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency on Monday said that a preliminary agreement between Iran and the European Union's three big powers over Tehran's nuclear program was a "step in the right direction." Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the Vienna-based U.N. agency, said he hoped the agreement will be made official in the coming days. The preliminary agreement was worked out in Paris with Britain, France and Germany, chief Iranian negotiator Hossein Mousavian told state-run Iranian television on Sunday. If approved, the deal would be a major breakthrough after months of threats and negotiations. It could spare Iran from being taken before the U.N. Security Council, where the United States has warned it would seek economic sanctions unless Tehran gives up all uranium enrichment activities, a technology that can produce nuclear fuel or atomic weapons. "I would hope that this would lead to the desired outcome, which is Iran to suspend both its enrichment and reprocessing related activities and open the way for normalization of Iran's relations with the international community," said ElBaradei speaking from a conference on nuclear security in Australia.

Next should know that "agreements" made with the Axis of Evil don't count.
Noone should be fooled. This is a delay tactic.
The economics of building a complete fuel cycle
as opposed to buying it as a service don't support
investment in facilities like Natanz.
Unless there is a change of government I'm afraid
that even air strikes probably won't dissuade Iran
from building nuclear weapons.
This just means the Europeans can drop all trade and business barriers with Iran and sell them bigger and better technology for their weapons program, while the Iranians proceed with building their Islamic Bomb, the UN pretends to be on top of it, and all sides meet endlessly to discuss the "agreement".
See? Diplomacy is the "civilized" way to resolve these things/sarc.
What in the world does cheap Swedish furniture have to do with nuclear proliferation?

Oh, sorry. I thought that said IKEA Chief. When you think about it, though, IKEA would probably be more on top of things. At least the reactor containment buildings and cooling towers would have bright, cheerful colors.
Krushchev was right. They'll sell rope to their hangman.
Note to EU and Iran: Making a "deal" between powers that are irrelevant is unlikely to solve anything in the long term. If you think that the EU speaks for all of the West, you are sadly mistaken. We know that the EU is part of Eurabia, and would expect such "deals" to take place as a means of placating the US.
IT WON'T WORK.
Note to EU: You are walking on some very thin ice. Sure would hate to see Brussels get a rainstorm of JDAMs. Don't think you're safe from us, because you're not. We've destroyed your shitty little nations before, and IF WE HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN, WE WILL.
Sleep well, Eurabia.
