Keith Olberman Claims Election Stolen in Ohio and Florida.
MSNBC ^ | 11/7/04 | Keith Olbermann

Posted on 11/08/2004 9:27:36 AM PST by bduet

NEW YORK— Here’s an interesting little sidebar of our system of government confirmed recently by the crack Countdown research staff: no Presidential candidate’s concession speech is legally binding. The only determinants of the outcome of election are the reports of the state returns boards and the vote of the Electoral College.

That’s right. Richard Nixon may have phoned John Kennedy in November, 1960, and congratulated him through clenched teeth. But if the FBI had burst into Kennedy headquarters in Chicago a week later and walked out with all the file cabinets and a bunch of employees with their raincoats drawn up over their heads, nothing Nixon had said would’ve prevented him, and not JFK, from taking the oath of office the following January.

This is mentioned because there is a small but blood-curdling set of news stories that right now exists somewhere between the world of investigative journalism, and the world of the Reynolds Wrap Hat. And while the group’s ultimate home remains unclear - so might our election of just a week ago.

Stories like these have filled the web since the tide turned against John Kerry late Tuesday night. But not until Friday did they begin to spill into the more conventional news media. That’s when the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that officials in Warren County, Ohio, had “locked down” its administration building to prevent anybody from observing the vote count there. (snip)

Matters little to them, that our bravest are fighting and dying to protect you and I and our offspring. The fight for free aspirin is all that matters.

Even his nightly ratings wouldn't be enough to make the difference if they turned his viewers into Kerry votes in OH.

Olberman, you pathetic dweeb, I hope you keep clinging to the conspiracy theories and vain hopes of eventual triumph. It will be more and more sweet when the truth ("YOU LOST") crushes that hate-filled grey matter and you wind up babbling incoherently in the street.

Olberman needs to be put in a padded cell. The fact that MSNBC employs this foaming-mouthed, Kool-Aid guzzling moron, together with the shrieking Larry O'Donnell, and the spitting Chris Matthews, makes it the WORSE (worse than CNN, worse than CBS) news network in America.

Sorry, but the election was not close in Ohio or Florida.

The nutjobs should consider that after numerous recounts in Florida, both official and unofficial, the net margin never shifted by more than a couple hundred votes.

They just don't get it, do they?

Nope - and I hope they don't. I'm enjoying being the majority party. If they keep up their rampant lunacy - it'll be our turn to be in power for 40 years.

Good - Olbermann can enter the fray of the wackos and disappear into oblivion.

The last few votes counted do occasionally reverse a result.

In this election, Bush's leads in key states were pretty solid, and outside the "margin of error." Kerry knew this, which is why he conceded, despite having something like 10,000 lawyers ready to argue his cause in a number of states. On the other hand, Bush might have a case in arguing about the validity of Kerry's leads in Wisconsin, PA, MI.

My email to Keith:

Dear Keith,
51% of the voters already knew that a concession speech is just a courtesy and in no way binding. Kerry would never utter anything that could in any way be considered "binding". We're so happy that this information finally found it's way to MSNBC. With just a little more work by your crack investigative staff you might even learn where in the country the midwest is located. (hint: It's not in the south where they don't watch you either.)

I think he didn't do the research. He was sloppy in the past when he claimed he had a smoking gun post from Free Republic that "proved" that this site was acting against the Rather hoax before it even aired, and then he had to embarassingly backtrack when he realized the timestamp was West Coast time. He's an idiot. Which explains the love he gets from the DUmmies.

Sorry, but the election was not close in Ohio or Florida.

Thankfully not, or the vote fraud taking place there this year might well have helped to swing the election to the Dems.
