Keith Olberman Claims Election Stolen in Ohio and Florida.
MSNBC ^ | 11/7/04 | Keith Olbermann

NEW YORK— Here’s an interesting little sidebar of our system of government confirmed recently by the crack Countdown research staff: no Presidential candidate’s concession speech is legally binding. The only determinants of the outcome of election are the reports of the state returns boards and the vote of the Electoral College.

That’s right. Richard Nixon may have phoned John Kennedy in November, 1960, and congratulated him through clenched teeth. But if the FBI had burst into Kennedy headquarters in Chicago a week later and walked out with all the file cabinets and a bunch of employees with their raincoats drawn up over their heads, nothing Nixon had said would’ve prevented him, and not JFK, from taking the oath of office the following January.

This is mentioned because there is a small but blood-curdling set of news stories that right now exists somewhere between the world of investigative journalism, and the world of the Reynolds Wrap Hat. And while the group’s ultimate home remains unclear - so might our election of just a week ago.

Stories like these have filled the web since the tide turned against John Kerry late Tuesday night. But not until Friday did they begin to spill into the more conventional news media. That’s when the Cincinnati Enquirer reported that officials in Warren County, Ohio, had “locked down” its administration building to prevent anybody from observing the vote count there. (snip)

Of course they like him, it really hard to find somebody else as whacked out and delusional as they are and will give voice to their stupidity?

It's not the evidence, it's the seriousness of the charge that counts.

Instead of throwing that crumpled paper at the camera, Keith should try tossing in the towel.

You are history!

In a related story, Olbermann claims that his 0.1 rating is a result of Sean Hannity rigging the Neilsen voting.

Since the election is over I think it's time to start ignoring these stories.
Don't even attempt to refute them, don't debate them.
By the time the next election comes around the libs will be basing their whole strategy on urban legends and tin foil rumors.

If anyone at a network doesn't know the electoral college formally chooses the president then why are they writing news?

Concessions mean nothing but they do signal that the candidate does not dispute the election process. The last few votes counted do occasionally reverse a result.

While I'm at it, what is this crap about discarded votes? If a ballot is not marked to the defined standard it makes sense to reject it. Otherwise you must "mindread" what that voter intended. Sadly enough, our courts think the mindreading should be attempted.

Perhaps school tests should be scored by thinking about whether the student "probably" knew the answer.

If he can provide any proof of fraud, then he's free to take it to court. I am getting really tired of the "fraud" innuendo being tossed about without proof to back it up.

Maybe Keith will examine the >100% votes in Wisconsin. Oh, wait, that doesn't help the liberals, so forget it.

So what. Warren County had 92,251 votes, of which 66,523 went for President Bush and 25,399 went for Senator Kerry. It is preposterous to think that any of the Bush votes were fraudulent (weren't there Democratic as well as Republican counters there?), but even if every single one of them was fake President Bush still would have carried Ohio and, therefore, the election.

I read his blog and watched his his reaction of initial glee with the misleading exit poll results until Nov at approx 2:37a.m when he was edging toward depression (I was snickering all of the way because I knew the glorious outcome).

He then was MIA until Nov 7 in his so-called "blogging". Had he no comment until yesterday or was he admitted for a short term at a mental facility? I feel like emailing him but then what is the point? If I email him I will make him feel important. I think it would be better to heckle him in person.
