The Cathedral of St. Paul Sunday became a pulpit for both a Catholic gay rights group that showed up and received Communion wearing rainbow sashes and a rival group that prayed the rosary on the church steps to express disapproval.

Disgusting display of behavior to promote one's sexual orientation at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

I know that a lot of us are against gay marriage, but I don't see a thing wrong with a gay man marrying a lesbian.

THEY would argue (I don't agree with them at all, just playing devil's advocate here) that heterosexuals promote THEIR sexual orientation at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass all the time. In their world view, heterosexual and homosexual relationships are equivalent in value.

One could also argue that white is black, which would not only be wrong, but would also get one killed at the next zebra crossing.

The Priest should not have given them Communion. Once again, we have a priests who are not willing to stand up for what is right.

How appropriate that Gay Militants use the altar of God to display their contempt of Him.

Soon armed guards and airport-type security will apply to screen church-goers...

Yep, that's where we're heading because of these nuts.

O Lord,
Please pierce the heart
of those who would use you,
body and blood, soul and divinity,
there in the form of bread,
food of the poor,
symbol and reality
of your love for us,
as a political statement
of their determination
to act in sin
pierce their hearts
with the reality of their wrongdoing,
and may they realize the enormity
of the wrong they do
and return in penance.

O Lord,
pierce the hearts of the priests,
the bishops,
and those entrusted
to lead us
with the reality of the wrong
that others do for political statement,
and may they be given wisdom
to act rightly,
the strength of heart
to stand up for the truth,
wisdom to recognize the right action,
and the fire of courage
that comes from the touch of your Holy Spirit.

O Lord,
help us, just the regular men and women
who love you,
to be willing to stand up and say,
This is wrong,
the wisdom to know how to act,
and the joy of being your witness.

Amen.
