Olbermann: Kerry's Concession Might be Void...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6368819/#041107a ^

NEW YORK - Here’s an interesting little sidebar of our system of government confirmed recently by the crack Countdown research staff: no Presidential candidate’s concession speech is legally binding. The only determinants of the outcome of election are the reports of the state returns boards and the vote of the Electoral College. That’s right. Richard Nixon may have phoned John Kennedy in November, 1960, and congratulated him through clenched teeth. But if the FBI had burst into Kennedy headquarters in Chicago a week later and walked out with all the file cabinets and a bunch of employees with their raincoats drawn up over their heads, nothing Nixon had said would’ve prevented him, and not JFK, from taking the oath of office the following January.

This is mentioned because there is a small but blood-curdling set of news stories that right now exists somewhere between the world of investigative journalism, and the world of the Reynolds Wrap Hat. And while the group’s ultimate home remains unclear - so might our election of just a week ago. Stories like these have filled the web since the tide turned against John Kerry late Tuesday night....

They also are going to have to explain the 2000 results in the counties they are calling to question--Bush won those counties then, too and the final totals are within the realm of reason.

I say let them spend their money.

I'm suprised I haven't seen more conspiracy vote fraud stuff on Kos or TalkingPoints. It seems to all be on DU. Michael Moore linked to an article, though.

As long as it stays out of the NYTimes, it won't get huge.

Keith Olbermann and the snarling dogs of the Left refuse to face the fact they were beaten fair and square. They're sinking deeper into the fever swamps. I hope they keep it up.

I still feel confident in Bush's victory.

But I think we must pray it into certified finality.

Assume nothing about the evil doers except that they have a great propensity to persist in doing evil as long as they have breath--unless and until the have a miraculous encounter with The Living Almighty God. And no big news of that happening in great numbers, has reached my awareness!

Sounds like a plan. You know what they say about a fool and his dinero.....

Maybe I should set up a website, pretend to track down "fraud votes" and post over at the DUmmy place and sit back and watch the checks come in?

Might get me to retirement faster than my job.

He sucked as a sportscaster too. He thought he was above it, but he has proved the Peter Principle. Drudge posted some ratings last week and Olberman's ratings are dismal. Its a wonder he's still on the air. He's probably trying to drum up some ratings with controversy.

Where did you read that Diebold is suing? That will be nice. They should sue. Their reputation is at stake.

Bev is capitalizing on the DUnderheaded technical ignorance of her DUmmy supporters.

Because when you finally get down to it, the election process fundamentally relies on some degree of trust in the system and a system that is reasonably accurate and trustworthy.

Bev is trotting out the most farfetched and ludicrous theoretical technical possibilities in the same manner a witch doctor would use his incantations to scare the ignorant local villagers.

Drudge mentioned it on his show. Said they're going after Air America, who really went over the top with their commentary.

This kind of stuff is insane and threatens to make these clowns totally irrelevant.

LOL - the DU/Mikey Moore moonbats cast their "Kerry really won!" bait into the MSM lake, and it looks like they got a nibble. What a surprise.

Too bad the nibbling's being done by Olbermann, just about the lowest bottom-feeding Clinton crack-sniffer there is in front of a camera. He and his ten viewers will play with this dead rat on a string for a few days, and the bigger media fish will watch and see if the Loser Brigade can give it some legs. I could advise them to just let it go, but I'm just an toothless, illiterate, gun-toting, red state Jesus freak, so it's not like they'd listen to me anyway.

Olberman was also harrassing Bill O'Reilly and did a whold expose on his problem with the producer that was suing him. Also, he issued a plea to her to NOT destroy the "tape" and that he would pay $100,000 to her if she'd hand them over to his network...what a loser. Just trying to get ratings...No on ever watches him

I know, I know, but that doesn't stop her.

However, what is going to kill the theory are the 2000 returns.

The margin of President Bush's victory, combined with Kerry's relatively quick concession, slowed the conspiracy nuts down for a while. But now that a few days have passed and the gravity of Bush's win is sinking in, the far left is grasping at any straw, no matter how kooky it is.

I read on another thread that some broad in Minnesota is blaming Abraham Lincoln for Bush's win, because if he'd allowed the South to secede, Kerry would have won. Next, they'll complain that the Louisiana Purchase was illegal, so all those red states that it brought into the union shouldn't have their electoral votes counted.

It is now starting to get serious over there. I have seen at least 2 calls for assassination along with MANY calls for armed revolution not to mention all of the cheering and hoping for massive US casualties. They are truly walking into something they may not get out of.

Still, what alternative to they (Dems) have? They can compromise their agenda and try to cooperate. Or, they can spread information viruses to undermine GW's ability to actually get some work done. By promoting conspiracy theories they don't have to admit that there is anything wrong with thier party, or thier agenda. Its the easy way out.
