Newsweek has a very complex SERIES of articles on the campaign and election which have already been posted in excerpt form.
Often I archive the print-version text of articles, and/or paste them into Word, reformat them compactly, and print them for reading. But as someone already said, this series of articles taken together are virtually book-length.
I therefore prepared the following OUTLINE which excerpts just a small amount from the Titles and Subtitles of the series of articles. NONE of the actual article text is included.
I think that this meets fair use, including none of the body of text, while at the same time it provides a useful overview of the slant of the series of articles, with links for reading, etc. for those interested.
It is useful to me even if it gets pulled by the moderators but I hope they do not have to.
Unfortunately, the print version of this is going to be archived in many an attic around the US, with all of its slant and revisionist history included. But it's good to know what the public is consumin', and I would like to see some additional discussion about the series of articles as an overview. To me it is mainly a archival of the series of machinations that the MSM went through presented in the usual stealth liberal mode. No surprise given the reporters who contributed.

Nice outline.
However, there is no way that the vice-presidential debate was a draw: not to any viewer with discernment. Cheney won, hands down.
Kerry's daughters upset? That is worth a whole chapter?
Springstein rocks for Kerry? If that is all Kerry had at the end, he should have lost by much more.
Read the Newsweek account with great suspicion, and with a large grain of salt!!

I actually bought the current Newsweek addition, and its a DAMN GOOD read.
Lets just say, even die-hard Democrats will breath a sigh of relief that the election turned out how it did, if they read it.
Kerry is portrayed as an indecisive flip-flopper (the behind the scenes flip-flops and lack of focus were EVEN WORSE than the train wreck the public was privy to) who could not make a decision on ANY issue, even the most mundane facing his campaign. "Calling a summit" was not just his strategy on foreign policy, but was how he made every decision from what the Campaign theme would be, to what he ate for breakfast in the morning. The guy was just woefully unequipped to make the tough decisions the CINC needs to make in a time of war.

Exactly. (I assume you realize that these is all Newsweek's titles/subtitles, not mine.) I also was amazed at how they accorded certain happenings that seemed trival with their own "pages."

Great post. I love reading the background stuff from the election insiders. The Swift Boat stuff was wonderful. Kerry was everything we accused him of being.

I did buy Time for the first time in years. I had no idea the price was up to $3.95! Yet another good reason to boycott the old media.

I guess I can read this all online and don't have to buy the magazine. ;-) But I was looking for it in 2 stores today and did not see it. Is it on the news stands yet? LOL! I've looked for it too and haven't seen it but I've heard other FReepers say they've gotten a copy. Until then I'm grateful they've actually posted all of this. It is interesting even though I don't trust half of what they say and don't believe the rest.

I got the issue and am reading it now. While they are exposing the flip flopping disorder of Kerry all over the place, there is also talk of reporters covering for Kerry, not wanting to report his obvious missteps and the fighting going on behind the scenes with the little woman. They write about incidents where Kerry is so arrogant and rude, yet smirk about Bush calling him cocky. All it all, it a facsinating read however if you overlook the bias.
