If Specter gets his Chairmanship, let's boycott Santorum in 2006 (A Threat)

Posted on 11/07/2004 3:05:58 PM PST by Remember_Salamis

We must make it perfectly clear to Rick Santorum that if he lets Specter chair the judiciary committee, we WILL NOT SUPPORT HIM in 2006 for Senate. Instead, we will support Pat Toomey.

We must also make it perfectly clear to Bill Frist that if he does not block Specter Chairmanship, he might as well not even enter the 2008 primaries.

Both of these men hold the power over Specter and we must threaten to boycott their futures if they ignore their base.

Was it the upper-level classes or was it the lack of leadership needed to become and officer?

You're being a complete jerk, you know. What is your pay grade, if you don't mind me asking?

Have you read my arguments? I simply want to let Frist and Santorum know that if they ignore the base they will have to face the consequences of a disillusioned base.

Actually Sparky, but you're simply a delusional base.

I am being a bit of a dick, but it's because CWOJackson resorted to name-calling right off the bat without addressing a single one of my arguments. CWOJackson instead simply started calling me names.

I'm almost always civil in my posts. On tax reform threads, which I'm often on, there's a poster named "lewislynn" who responds to certain policy arguments by calling people "stupid morons" and such. I'll respond back with name-calling then too. But it irks me when people don't respond to your points but just call them stupid.

I'm not going to shoot back after your name-calling anymore. But will you please seriously address any of my points?

Have you ever considered the simply option of not making stupid comments. It would change your perspective tremendously.

What? You mean you're simply going to leave your foolish comments about fully commissioned warrant officers and the Army standing as they are?

Fine with me there Sparky.

Something that irritates me. We usually pause before the new graves of soldiers killed on active duty. Most of the headstones have "KIA" on them but only a couple have "purple heart".

I'd love to drag Kerry by the neck over there and show him how much he disgraced real heros.

Okay. Allow me to jump into the "warrant officer" debate for just a minute.

I started out as a private, went up to staff sergeant, then became a warrant officer. From there I went to Limited Duty Officer, 1stLt, then when my field was shut down I redesignated as unrestricted and made captain, which was my retirement grade. Along the way I got my BA and my masters degree.

Hindsight being 20/20, I would have remained a warrant officer as many of my friends did. Many of my buddies could have become captains and majors, but preferred the warrant officer ranks because it's a completely different culture. Warrant officers are respected technicians in their field, whereas company grade officers are just one more name on the duty roster.

Education rarely had anything to do with it.

That's my experience, anyway.

Thanks, I didn't know he was a Soros sycophant. How about this hypocritical propaganda from his website:

“My Senate record of independence has demonstrated my willingness to break with my party. I had no hesitancy to oppose Judge Bork where I was convinced he was far outside the constitutional continuum or mainstream because his insistence on “original intent” presented a real threat to constitutional construction representing the consensus values of our society.”

How about a thoughtful; response from one of my points other than "stupid."

If you're looking at the VA provided head stones that is probably because the family doesn't fully understand their elections. I'm not sure whether the Purple Heart is an option or not but anyone killed in action does receive the Purple Heart.

Sure thing. When you have an intelligent question please ping me. As I suggested before, you can always borrow one from someone else.

So you've given up demonstrating your outstanding military knowledge I guess. What a shame...it was so entertaining.

I have asked intelligent questions; you've just chosen to ignore them. Here's some:

- Do you see anythng wrong with holding elected officials' feet to the fire in order to make them keep promises?

- Do you see anything wrong with somebody as pro-life as Santorum supporting someone as pro-abortion as Specter?

- Do you see anything wrong with telling Senator Frist that the appointment of Specter may hurt him in the 2008 primaries?

- Do you see anything wrong with telling Senator Santorum that his support of Specter may weaken his support for re-election in 2006?

Yes I do, it's a stupid idea.

Almost as ignorant as your very distasteful comments about Army troops who at this very moment are in a life and death struggle while you strut your ignorance from the safety of your keyboard.

"No offense, but as am Airman I have FAR more respect for the Marine Corps that the US Army. My wife and I (she's also active duty) both work in a joint enviornment ant the US Army consistently underperforms when in comparison to the other services."

"Sounds like faux Army Pride to me. That's one of the big differences between the Army and the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps has comraderie while the Army has sh*tting on one another."

So did you sharpen your hatred of your military betters safely at home or from the safety of your warm, cushy "Airman" duties?

we all ought to turn in our FREEPER CARDS

or go back to FREEPER ACTIVISM SCHOOL!

"Almost as ignorant as your very distasteful comments about Army troops who at this very moment are in a life and death struggle while you strut your ignorance from the safety of your keyboard."

-- My Wife is deployed to Iraq right now (stationed at Camp Victory). They are fired upon by mortars dozens of times a day. When I went to the Desert in the Spring I was deployed to Qatar, but my Wife's life is on the line every day. She has to go on convoy escort duty as well (yes CWO, airmen on convoy security duty). So I don't appreciate your insinuation that I have a nonchalant attitude about what is going on in Iraq right now. And she tells me that Army personnel out there are far more bitter than members of other services, Army personnel looking for someone to blame for their deployment out there. I don't know how much of that is because the Army doesn't do a good job of explaining to troops why they're there or what.

And you still didn't answer one of my questions; you just called them stupid again.
