Lawrence O'Donnell calls Red states"welfare" states; urges Blue states to secede
Posted on 11/07/2004 2:17:10 PM PST by bushisdamanin04
Sorry about the vanity, but this is a must read for conservatives.
On the McLaughlin Group this weekend, Lawrence ODonnell actually stated that the Red states were welfare and that the Blue states paid for the Red states. He further urged the Blue states to secede from the Red states. And he was quite serious. In the past few weeks ODonnell has had foaming-at-the-mouth mental breakdowns, especially on MSNBC, but when he made his comments on the McLaughlin Group, he was quite calm and collected.
First, are these the people to whom Bush is required to reach out to?
Second, as McLaughlin would say, Bye, bye!

Dream on. Waste of time to even try it, even for these losers. Presidential impeachment is voted on in the House, not the Senate; the Senate renders judgment on the charges.
There isn't a chance in hell that a House impeachment resolution would get 180 votes, let alone pass. Sheesh.

Agreed. I think that there is a movement in Snohomish to create a Freemont County.
p.s. Sooooo glad that puke Ross went down.

Minor correction - think the Peoples Republic of Vermont is the exception in terms of all blue - I suggest they secede and go with Canada...

They will have to "outsource" their food, fuel, electrical power, house building materials such as LUMBER from TREES, military, factories which make most everything they use from toilet paper to frozen dinners to clothing to automobiles.
Let them. That leaves more for the rest of us.

Let the LP'ers take it over first as their "free state" then send it to Canada.

That sounds like an excellent idea. Where should they be deported? I have a few ideas. Let's ship them off to Cuba or China for a start. They aren't Americans anyway - never were and never will be.

It would actually be Freedom county, there is a larger sign on I-5 where it would begin. Pierce county also has a movement to create Rainier county. I think Reichert should have by a larger margin, it used to be that the 8th district went 70-80% republican. I'm in the 1st district and we for many years had a republican congressman.
I think it would help if we stopped allow the EU-nuchs to dump their Airbus jets in America, we did have 3 companies making jetliners here, with 80 to 90% market share. Now were down to one, with less than 50% market share.
If the US would stop acting like the guy who gets traded around the cell block for Marlboro's when it comes to foreign trade Bush would have carried Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. He also would have gotten well over 60 million votes.

No, the Blue states have the welfare people. Both the filthy rich big city people and the welfare leeches are in the big city. The red states receive more in federal tax money than they pay into the treasury.

Virginia gets a lot, but that is because we have lots of military installations and the biggest naval station in the world.
Portsmouth Virginia is at a distinct disadvantage on tax base because the Federal Government owns so much of the land.
O'Donnell is beginning to look a lot like an Orc.

The red states FEED the blue states. Cut off their water service. A little demolition in the Tehachapees and LA will be as dry as the desert out of which it was created.

You left out the best one, that it was a consolidate conspiracy between Bush and the maker of the electronic touch screen voting machines to rig the vote. Wish I had stock in Tin Foil Hat manufacturing, it has to be booming.

I am sick of all of this. Let them go. NO, make them go. Set up border checkpoints and patrols immediately to keep them out. Oh please!

I remember being mad for a few days- disappointed. Actually- I've not seen anything to rival this since the 60's. The pure hatred is chilling.

There has to be a lot of odd arrangements to account for the red/blue spending trends. Alaska, for example, has a very large percentage of its land owned by the feds, so the feds have to pay for various services there. There is no doubt that more private ownership there would yield more wealth than the extra federal spending.
I'm inclined to the 'blue states bribe red states' theory until I find some detailed analysis.

We were all scolded about questioning the patriotism of Kerry, while his supporters are supposedly outright seditious. Where has Kerry spoken to quell such unpatriotic and unAmerican statements from his supporters?

Lol.....the DUmmies have latched on to this idea. They're itchin' for a fight and now want to learn about firearms for the Civil War they imagine to be coming. Funny stuff. Siege warfare is a beautiful thing, provided you're the one doing the besieging. :)

First, don't fall into the DNC trap of talking about Red and Blue
states. The real story, the one that is so much more depressing for the DNC is the one about the red and blue
counties Second, if the Blue counties were to secede, how would they raise, train, and equip an army to defend their secession?
