Sorry about the vanity, but this is a must read for conservatives.
On the McLaughlin Group this weekend, Lawrence O’Donnell actually stated that the Red states were “welfare” and that the Blue states paid for the Red states. He further urged the Blue states to secede from the Red states. And he was quite serious. In the past few weeks O’Donnell has had foaming-at-the-mouth mental breakdowns, especially on MSNBC, but when he made his comments on the McLaughlin Group, he was quite calm and collected.
First, are these the people to whom Bush is “required” to reach out to?
Second, as McLaughlin would say, “Bye, bye!”
Didn't Buchanan point out that it was the Republicans in those so-called "Blue" states that paid all the taxes?
O'Donnell is a lunatic.
As somebody else has pointed out, the blue states aren't so much states as urban areas within otherwise red states. It'll be pretty lonely for them, but let them secede and then have to outsource their military protection to the rest of us.
No, the Blue states have the welfare people. Both the filthy rich big city people and the welfare leeches are in the big city.

Actually, it is the red suburbs that pay for welfare for the inner city and rural folks in almost every state.

let's use some aristotelian logic. let's get rid of welfare and see which states and counties scream the loudest!
