There are a lot of homosexual Islamic leaders.

When I was in Oman ~12 years ago I found out that the Sultan of Oman was gay. There was an ornate building across from the palace in Muscat that was the official harem, but Sultan Qaboos' harem was boys. They prowled the streets in Porsches.

When I found out the Sultan was gay, I exclaimed, "The Sultan's a fag?!". I was quickly told to be quiet and to never speak of it in public.

I have a friend that escaped Iran shortly after the Shah's fall. He says that several of the ruling mullahs are homos. Same deal--everyone knows it, nobody talks about it.

Homosexuality is rampant in the Muslim culture. I cannot explain it. My only rational thought is that is it because of the radical repression of women and their sexuality.

"Why do they hate us?"

This seems as likely a reason as any.
