Why is the president wasting time and political capital campaigning for George Soros's pick in the Pennsylvania primary?

Yo SOROS!

I heard them chanting "who's your daddy" during the Republican celebrations.

"While Specter never may have glimpsed Soros's checkbook, he cannot honestly claim to have "no connection" to this group."

Specter added: "I welcome a chance to be on your radio show to say two things. Number one, I got no connection with the Mainstream Partnership, and I got no knowledge of any contribution by George Soros to the Mainstream Partnership, and that's that."

'I got no connection'? 'I got no knowledge"?

Reminds me of "Can I get me a fishing license?"

All the more reason that conservatives should have voted first for Toomey in the primary, then for Clymer in the general. That way, someone more principled and supportive would be in charge of Judiciary. Now it's likely to be turned over to George Soros's favorite "Republican."

This kind of party loyalty undermines itself. Principle over party.

Success is near because of all the hard work we have done, but it is not yet over. The Philadelphia Inquirer, Washington Times, and United Press International all covered how the offices have been flooded with calls, but we need to keep it up as the fight does not end here! Make the calls all over again on Monday.

Also note the changes to the site, all the recent press mentions will be on the Why? page, but this blog should keep you fairly up to date on the goings ons.

Keep Up The Work

Things are going fantastic over here, as we have gotten press through the Laura Ingram Show, several state pro-life alerts, and countless conservative e-mail lists, but the fight has just begun.

The rumor on the Hill is that things are about ready to break. We just need to keep up pressure on them to make sure it happens. So keep your eyes and ears open. NotSpecter.com also has some great resources that have gone up so make sure to check it out.

Also GrassrootsPA.com has a letter written by Specter to raise money that slams the conservative wing of the party, which puts to rest any argument over how he would run the Judiciary Committee.

I may be reading too much into this post but, this was written in April almost 8 months ago - did the President campaign for Specter after this time - if he didn't why get worked up about it and if he did what are you suggesting we do start a campaign against him also.
Remember, just asking!

-"Will you stand up to the far-right fringe that demands that legal abortion be banned?"

-"We must demonstrate that the Republican Party is made up of more that Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Pat Buchanan, and Ralph Reed."

I remember early on, like early summer or late spring, Hannity had some info. that Specter was being backed by some questionable group. He actually called Specter to either verify or contradict that rumor. Specter said "absolutely NOT!" I wonder if Soros is the one Hannity heard about. I cannot remember. But, if so, then Specter lied.

voted first for Toomey in the primary, then for Clymer in the general.

I remember that proposal floating around on FR a few months back.

I rejected it then and I reject it now...at least the second part.

It's a shame we didn't get Toomey but electing a RAT is something I couldn't bring myself to do under today's environment. We will just have to find a way to defrock this POS specter.
