I am proud of my state standing up for the institution of marriage and being brave enough to make the liberal book publishers back off their gay marriage agenda in our schools!

I read this in the paper this morning and about spit out my coffee when I read this:
The other publisher, Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, changed phrases such as "when two people marry" and "partners" to "when a man and a woman marry" and "husbands and wives."...
Randall Ellis, the executive director of the Lesbian/Gay Rights Lobby of Texas, said the board overstepped its bounds in suggesting and adopting the new wording. "Their job is to review for factual information and instead what we see is the insertion of someone's ideology and agenda into the textbook of middle-schoolers," Ellis said.
Isn't it just too funny that it was their ideology and agenda was inserted in the first place yet they are whining about that? Now, they are just taking it out.

The decision Friday, which involves two of the biggest textbook publishers, is an example of Texas exerting its clout as the nation's second-largest buyer of textbooks.
Wow. We in Texas are just the ultimate evil-- hicks who believe in traditional marriage and vote for Hitler George W. Bush. What a world.

What's great is that Texas is such a powerful influence on the textbook companies that they effectively end up defining what goes into many of the textbooks used nationwide.

A liberal State Board of Education member from Corpus Christi thinks the state has no right to alter any textbooks used in its schools. I wonder if Mary Helen Berlanga would have said the same thing if it were liberals doing the editing.

Define Marriage, badmrbunny wrote: now, if we could re-write about 90% of the history books... I think I understand you, but wouldn't the word restore work a little better?

To route the liberal Professors from the universities who poison our young with rewritten history and biased European liberal attitudes is a major priority or all the corrections made at the elementary school levels will be destroyed. We need to go all the way up the tree of hate and liberal bias and rip every leaf off every branch.
