Excellent first post, and welcome to FR.
Michael, there's a young fellow here you might like to meet.
To: ConYoungBlack

Nice work. The young black community could use more free thinkers such as yourself, as opposed to the "Vote (for Kerry) or Die" P. Diddy hip-hop crowd

I don't want to hear Zell Miller sing country and at the same time I don't want to hear the Dixie Chicks talking politics. Maybe the people in charge of the democrats should sit back and listen to Zell when he speaks about their party.. with the chicks singing in the backround.

I have tried to get it distributed as much as possible, but a lot of media outlets have been unkind to this editorial. I'm only 29, so I think I have a long way to go and a lot to learn (obviously).
Thanks for having me here guys. I love this place.

Like your style - "hypersexualism" and "pseudotolerance" are valuable additions to my vocab.
Please do the electronic version of ripping your article into little strips and swallowing it - Hillary must not be allowed to see it!

Welcome to FReerepublic! Beautiful essay, but you gave them too much good advice. If they follow it, we may have to compete with them again in 10 or 20 years!
