From a June 10, 2003 letter on Senator Chuck Schumer's (D-NY) website:
While there are scores of Democrats whom I would hope you would consider, I am offering only individuals who either are Republicans or have previously been nominated by Republican Presidents. The candidates I would advise you to consider are:
The Honorable Arlen Specter, Republican Senator from Pennsylvania.
Sen. Charles Schumer of New York, a leader in establishing a liberal litmus test on judicial opponents, last year wrote Bush listing Specter among desirable Supreme Court nominees. If the president can accept George Soros's choice for the Senate, could he go along with Chuck Schumer's suggestion for the Supreme Court?
STOP SPECTER NOW!
Yeah just what we need a 76 year old bypass liberal on the court
Chuckie gots to do something to take the spotlight off Hilllary
Senior senator from NY is like the forgotten man
LOL--joke of the year. Even Specter himself isn't interested. It won't happen.
Here are the targets -
Democrats who need to show their support for GWB if they want to keep their jobs.
Bill Nelson
Herb Kohl
Ben Nelson
Robert Byrd (WV went for Bush by almost 7 pts.)
Kent Conrad
Mark Dayton
That's enough to pass the judges and end filibusters.
Freepers in these states make it known - we got rid of Tommy boy we can get rid of you.
Keep it up!
Tell the PUTZ he is a lying piece of fecal matter.
Enough of this nonsense! Not only should President Bush respond to Schumer with a resounding NO, but he should, for the sake of the conservative voters and everything Holy that put him back in office SLAM THE DOOR (!!!!!) in the face of the democrat party and all the treasonous liberal/leftists who he was locked in mortal combat with just a few days ago!!!! They have been defeated thank God, and should be denied at every turn!!!! Promote a conservative agenda President Bush, like you're supposed to do, and appoint only CONSERVATIVE Justices!!!!
