GW should offer a plum ambassadorship to any rat senator where the senator's state governor is a republican. The senator takes the ambassadorship, the Republican governor appoints a republican to take the Rat's remaining term, and we have anothe republican senator.
Two examples:
1. Offer Kerry to be ambassador for life to Viet Nam.
2. Offer Kennedy to be ambassador for life to Ireland.
3. Offer Schumer ambassador for life to Israel.
4. Offer Godzilliary ambassador for life to Russia.
5. Send DiFi to China as their life time ambassador.
6. Send Barbara Boxer to Cuba as life time ambassador.
That would leave some great spots open like ambassador to France, Spain, Germany, Syria, Iran, and Canada.
This would be a great way to weed out the remaining rats in the Senate and get Republican replacements with no election costs.
PS. I'm committed to the defeat of Hillary and putting up a good Republican challenger in '06 despite the odds...
BTW....just info for some of you sho might not know yet, Pete Sessions knocked off Martin Frost this time..... Martin Frost was a 'rat leader...he was the minister of lies.
Rumor has it that Byrd (KKK-WV) may retire. He'll be 86 years old in 2006.
Down state voters love Hillary, especially when she isn't talking. Since being elected, she has finally learned to keep her mouth shut in public. There hasn't been a screaming monkey speech in ages. I fear she will be re-elected easily unless she really screws up in a public way. Even Fred Barnes called her a "work horse."
Rudy will not be on the top of the GOP ticket in '08. The Republican Presidential candidate will almost certainly be a governor from the Old South.
I suggest that people look at the states where Kerry had a slight lead over Bush. Democrats in those states are the ones who are endangered if Republicans have a control over what kinds of bills come up for a vote (and they most certainly do).
Liver Cirrhosis? Arafatosis?
"Move Lincoln Chafee from "Somewhat vulnerable" to "OUTTA HERE". He is a RINO disgrace."
For 2006 you should probably move him to the DEM list.
DeWine in Ohio is a minor player, but he is secure, and in any case, there are no credible 'rat candidates anywhere in the state. Can't beat somebody with nobody.
Khillarosis...
Look at this last election. No incumbent fell close to the wire except for Daschle and Bunning. Both special cases (for different reasons, obviously).
There isn't a single Democrat or Republican up-in-2006 Senate incumbent who is truly vulnerable for the general election.
Cantwell, Stabenow, and Clinton are at most somewhat vulnerable, as is Santorum.
Chafee is technically vulnerable to lose the Republican primary -- but he's going to change parties, and cruise to re-election as a Democrat, if a serious opponent gets into the Republican primary. He'll switch earlier if Specter is denied the Judiciary chairmanship.
Conrad, Kent (D) North Dakota, Nelson, Ben (D) Nebraska, Nelson, Bill (D)Florida and Bingaman, Jeff (D) New Mexico.
We defeated Daschle. We can defeat anyone -- well, almost!
It would be sweet to get a 60+ filibuster proof majority in the Senate.
Then Bush can really appoint the judges he wants.
Unfortunately, they will be lucky to find some underfunded nobody or some rich guy who can pay for his own campaign to run against Byrd and Kennedy because it's hopeless. These two will be carried out of the senate feet first. The machinery is in place to re-elect them even if both are in a coma and can't campaign.
Keyes a good candidate? He was an absolute disaster as a candidate! Do you want someone to make speeches or do you want someone to be elected?
(DeWine, Mike (R) Ohio Vulnerable)
Mike DeWine will win with 63%.
What country do you live in?
I don't believe Bill Nelson of Florida is vulnerable because he runs to the center and has voted with Republicans a lot. I would depend on who the Republicans nominated. If it was Jeb Bush, then yes, Nelson would be very vulnerable.
