Thank you both. Just speaking informally, the last Democrat I supported, and voted for, was Senator Sam Nunn. We didn't see eye-to-eye on some issues, but on the big ones- the importance of a strong military, the First and Second Amendments- we were in accord. I guess Zell Miller is about the only one left still active in politics like that. We used to have more of them- and we need more like them again.

The current batch in power on the Dem side not only don't "get" it, they come up with all the wrong answers, because they refuse to ask the honest questions. Their solutions so far?

1- YELL at us louder... like we can't hear them, already!
2- Swing farther to the Left- hard a-port, me hearties!
3- Try to game this "faith & values" thing to their advantage- but using it that way is utterly fraudulent. You have the faith first, you don't don it like a suit to trick the rubes into hearing you.
