**I say his mother ought to do the right thing and resign her seat.**
I don't agree with you here unless she was involved more directly. It's basically un-American IMHO to punish a parent for the crime of the offspring unless he's a minor. However, public outcry may make it very difficult for her to do the job for which she was elected and, if so, she should resign. Maybe that's what you meant.
27 tires on 20 cars and vans rented by the Republican Party to carry voters to the polls were slashed. The vehicles were parked in the 7100 block of W. Capitol Drive.
A security guard reported seeing a man running from the scene that morning,
If he's not of their race, he'll be labeled a racist. If he is, he'll be labeled an uncle Tom. This security guard won't win.
She ought to consider resigning from the corrupt party that she belongs to though. That would depend, of course, on whether she possesses any vestigal shreds of morality or conscience.
I don't necessarily think she'd be being "punished" for his handiwork, just deprived of the benefit from it. To me, it's like receiving stolen goods - you don't go to jail if you innocently received a stolen diamond necklace, but you don't get to keep on wearing it, either.
Bottom line - she obviously benefitted from the crime. Unless her victory was overwhelming (80+ percent territory), the Pubbie GOTV would have impacted the race more with the extra vehicles, IMO.
