Olympia Snowe will probably not run for re-election...she really doesn't have anything working upstairs for her anymore. If she does run, she probably will be Challenged and defeated by Congressman Allen for the 1st CD.
The best bet for Maine is to have someone like fmr. candidate for Governor Petter Cianchette run or even have fmr. Governor McKernan (Olympia's "husband") run for the seat.
Another great candidate would be Steve Abbott who is the Chief of Staff for Susan Collins. He is a real conservative, former school boy football star...avid hunter...he would be an awesome candidate. I say we lean on him to get him to run in '06!!!
