Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)
We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.
But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?
My take:
Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM
Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....
Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..
Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...
Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....
Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....
Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...
Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....
What do you all think???
I have a crush on Greg Kelly though I'm probably old enough to be his Mother.
Brit is a given and I really enjoy John Gibson. Sometimes all you have to do is watch his facial expressions which say exactly what he's thinking.
Er, no Dari Alexander! With glasses, no less!
Yes, Carl Cameron is a Republican. Like it or not, someone had to cover the Kerry campaign this year and it fell to Carl.
For what it's worth: the NYC liberal rag the Village Voice has praised the fair and balanced reporting of Jim Angle and Carl Cameron on several occasions. (This doesn't make Carl and Jim Dems, however.)
As much as I dislike Alan Colmes, and always will. I think having him on the show makes the show itself better. Every once in awhile I find myself feeling sorry for Alan, like when they have Jack Kemp, or Newt Gingrich, or Ollie North on the show. But it only lasts a second and I find myself disliking him even more after that.
I think the ratings for H & C are better because instead of a straight hour of people telling us the things we know are true (The Hannity side, which I love by the way...I listen to his radio show at work as often as I can), we get a chance to hear the other side and how ridiculous they sound.
I would love Alan Colmes if he was Republican, smart, fair, polite.
Rush and Hannity won the election for the GOP.
But according to him sodomy is OK...social conservative my ass.
Linda Vester is also married to the son of baseball great Hank Greenberg
What should I say? I admired Greg Kelly for his reporting during the war. Is that more acceptable?
Chris Wallace was funny when he compared Teresa to Evita Peron.
I liked his memo on manicures. What did he do to piss of Rupurt to get assigned to cover Kerry? Had to mute him mostly, had enough of the Dem talking points.
Terry Keenan was very open in her support for Bush in the past few weeks. She was very enthusiastic about him winning. I saw a few interviews where she made faces when someone mentioned Kerry's name.
Do you work for FNC and trying to get some feedback???
I have a crush on Bill Kristol
Greg is reportedly 33, soon to be 34 years old. Are you old enough to be his mama?
By the way, he wrote an editorial published last month that was published in (blech) The New York Times. Interesting perspective. There's No Politics in The Foxhole
I used to wonder a bit about ED until I watched Fox & Friends Wed morning and she had this persistent gigantic cheesy grin on the entire time. It was infectious. Brian and Steve - no doubt. Especially Brian.
I greatly admired Greg Kelly's reporting as well. He was top-notch, A1, the absolute best. You obviously didn't get my pathetic attempt at humor in my earlier post. :o)
If you say Shep on election night, you would have no doubts he is a raging democrat.
I do not share in applauding Brit Hume as being fair on election night either. It is clear FOX took the same command from the Kerry Campaign as the other networks and refused to call Nevada for Bush and put him over the top.
Ever since Rathergate, Fox has made a clear left turn.
Despite his disability.....or maybe because of it!....
...his mind is clear thinking and unafraid....
..he's an inspiration.
His Dad is top notch too!
(automatically shut off input at the mention of Arafat)
