Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)

We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.

But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?

My take:

Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM

Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....

Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..

Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...

Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....

Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....

Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...

Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....

What do you all think???

Back when he (Brit) was writing occasional articles for National Review? ;-)

I forgot all about that. I saw a few and have forgotten them.

Shep, I dunno. He just has that "all guys interested in knowing me in a Biblical sense, call me!" look.

I can't enjoy Hannity & Colmes either... but I've found I really enjoy Sean Hannity's radio show. If you don't listen to it, you might want to try that if it's convenient for you. Plus it helps me get a political fix during the day without TV (trying to limit my two year old's TV watching). I really enjoy Brit Hume (my favorite) and Neal Cavuto (I don't much enjoy business shows but I tune in occasionally just because I think Neal is terrific). I guess I'm at odds with a number of posters because I like Shephard Smith and cannot stand Bill O'Reilly. As for Judge Andrew Napolitano, I don't like the constant touting of him as a "Judge" when I assume he no longer is on the bench. I can't rationalize it but it just seems inappropriate to me. Can't stand Greta Van Sustern and Rita Cosby's voice makes me want to break things. Linda Vester, I think, is pretty good.

Maybe we could trade her to MSNBC for Scarborough. We'll throw in Judge Napolitano to make it nice and even.

Keep Judge Napolitano and give them Dr. Georgia Witkin. I was getting so sick of being analyzed on TV that I was ready to go out and get myself a shrink to see if I was voting correctly.

Oh, Charles Krauthammer is the best! I just didn't list him because I don't think of him as a Fox regular.... more of a guest. His columns are always an excellent read. He and Thomas Sowell are two of my favorite columnists. Someone recently had a thread on who you'd like to have to dinner and they definitely would be on my list!

Greg Kelly is one of the good guys. His dad is the current NY police commissioner, Ray Kelly. Greg did a super job when he was embedded with the troops in Iraq.

My favorite David Asman performance was his Scott Ritter interview.

Linda Vester +15 oh baby oh baby
LOL! That's so cute.

Martha MacCallum+10
You're obviously thinking with the wrong head on that one. She's a leftie.

Greg Kelly would get a few +++ after his name in my rating book. He is a Democrat but he reports without any slant IMO. If I were rating on eye candy value, he'd get a +20 oooooh baby! (I imagine deep down he couldn't help but appreciate the lustful attitude of a woman somewhat older than he as long as she also respects his journalistic skills, right?) :o)

"I don't WANT TV reporters/commentators/etc. who "lean" one way or the other. I just want honest, unbiased reporting."

That's not going to happen. We ALL have biases. What's important is that the media not attempt to portray themselves as being "unbiased". They don't have to state their biases, just don't pretend there are none. I think Fox's slogan "Fair and Balanced", acknowledges everyone is biased and that the best that can be done is to present a "fair" sample of the different biased points of view.

Agree. On FOX there are commentators on the right and left. That is what is meant by "fair and balanced". In the rest of the MSM, almost everyone in on the left, obviously not balanced.

I heard E.D. on O'Reilly's radio show one day and she called Kerry a coward. I got the distinct impression she was not a koolaid drinker or ABB. She also impressed me on F&F when Senator Levin was saying the President lied about Iraq/WMD and she cut him off and said, "Now Senator, you're lying". The look on Levin's face was priceless.

Hey! I forgot about his dad, you're right...

I've often wondered if he played a big behind-the-scenes role in the whole embed thing. I can imagine him going to his Fox News and USMC superiors and saying something like "Instead of sending me over in my aircraft, why don't you send me as an embedded reporter with the guys? I'm up to it, and I'll take my goofy pal Leventhal and file from the front lines." I can see those same superiors saying, "Hmmm..."

If he ever writes a book, I think I'll read it.
