Which Fox News anchors/reporters/pundits/hosts do you think are really, sincerely right-leaning? (VANITY)
We probably all prefer Fox News over CNN, CNBC, the network news shows, etc.
But I was wandering as I was watching the election night coverage and Brit Hume seemed so giddy with excitement when Bush started to pull away - what are the true political leanings of the Fox News staff?
My take:
Bill O'Reilly - Basically a slightly left-leaning Libertarian redeemed by a belief in a vigorous American foreign policy and a sneering content for the MSM
Brit Hume - love the guy....with us 100%, I believe...I LOVED the way he interacted in such an over-the-top way with Susan Estritch on election night basically wiping her face with Kerry's loss....
Fred Barnes - same as Brit, 'red' to the core....but fair and honest in his analysis..
Shep Smith - seems to also take glee in Democratic pain but not so sure....his very patriotic stances make me think he's one of us, though...
Sean Hannity - no issues with Sean....
Morton Kondracke - middle of the road leftie but fair....
Greta Van Susteren - big time left winger if I had to guess...
Juan Williams - leftie....no doubt about it....
What do you all think???
Carl Cameron is a Republican who happened to draw the short straw this time out. In '00, he covered the GWB campaign and angered some when he appeared on camera wearing one of the campaign's "Major League A's" shirts. Also, I am pretty sure his wife worked for the Bush campaign this year.
I could be mitaken, but I think Major is his first name and Garrett is his last name.
I love the way he reports: Asks a question and then answers it.
By hatchet job, you mean facts with which you disagree.
1. Greta and her husband are prominent Scientologists. This cult (not religion) trends Democrat. No prominent members are Republicans.
2. Greta's husband made his millions as an ambulance chaser. As such, he is a Democrat and donates to campaigns accordingly.
P#ss off.
Do you mean Judge Eddie Munster.....?
LOL!!
Bump
Edie Hill is a disgrace! She's a lefty. She and Brian K are always at odds! Can't stand that rat's nest hairdoo either. Her fill in is better and prettier!
Eddie Munster all grown up.
Juan is so left he is almost back around to right. The others mostly say what they are told. IMHO ANYBODY in the media is not worth looking up to. They are just people that won the looks contest or are just good at reading the prompter. Pawns in a bigger game. It is ALL for ratings which makes the whole endeavor suspect.
Alan has said that if he were 'Hannitized', they would not have a show. He can be semi-reasonable, but he is a lib.
Expect a huge repository of in-depth political knowledge from Michael Barone. He's an admitted convert to conservatism after a youthful time as a Democrat.
I love the Judge. . . he's got a great smile and always remains calm; probably GOP.
Bill reran his interview with Bush on election eve as an "in your face" to Kerry, who turned him down flat.
I have to admitt I thought Bill was putting us on wrt Kerry actually showing up, since he bragged about his 25 year long friendship with Kerry.
Bill has had to eat alot of crow lately. Maybe he's come off his high horse and will remember who is real friends are, the fans who used to tune in.
sw
"Shep Smith"
This guy won me over on 9/11/01, I will always be a fan.
Uh...well I want my anchors to be heavy, but not bulky. And have good biting blades, that also release nicely.
Each to their own.........
A daily dose of Glenn Beck, Bob Bennet, Dennis Prager, Michael Medved and Michael Savage gets me from A to B to C to Z. =)
Yeah, he spins like a top. I haven't made it clear in this thread, but I can't stand the guy.
I agree with all of your comments with the exception of "[just] ok" with regards to Shep - I love the guy! My dad and I fight constantly over whether he's dim-leaning or not...and of course i say NOT! he makes me laugh at least 2-3 times on each of his shows...and I especially love the skinnerville part of the daytime show. My one wish for the new year? Mort & Fred getting a daily one-hour show! they're the best. I think Major and Jim Angle are two great guys - I loved the fact that Major covered the Reagan funeral on the day the President was brought to DC and then that night, brought his kids and stood in line with everyone else to view the casket. outstanding! Overall, I'd probably have to be committed if FNC ever went off the air - it's on all the time at home on TV and in my car on satellite! Now if we could just rid ourselves of Greta - maybe replace her with Laura Ingraham?? and if not Laura then the Judge! Love his hairline!
A stupid leftie at that.
Here's one of the threads about it:

I noticed that worthless POS Neil Gabler wasn't on that list. I realised it when I saw no "negative 100's"...
